I’m not a poofy skirt person, but it’s whatever you feel comfortable in. Have you tried other styles?

@JM1217: It’ll all work out in the end, if you love that dress, then that’s the dress. Is that a slip that’s adding the poof or is that just the dress?

@JM1217: I think you’ll be able to dance and hug people just fine. It is material, after all, not a brick wall you’re carrying around, so it will move. 🙂 Make sure your front hem skims the tops of your shoes enough as you walk to ensure you won’t dip and step on it as you dance. If you’re really not sure, ask your seamstress to show you what it would look it with a layer out so you can see the difference.

@JM1217: mm, that does pose a problem. I’m sure if you talked to a seamstress they could give you some ideas before you took drastic measures.

That’s a beautiful dress and it looks great on you, but if it were me, I’d take just a little bit of the poof out.

BUT, what really matters is how you like it!

I think it can still have the same effect with less poof.

Looks good to me.  🙂  If you like the big dress ballgown look, go for it!  You’ll be able to move and hug people just fine.

If you have any doubts, wear your dress for a while inside the house and try to give someone a hug… it should be fine!

Its a tad bit to much poof for my taste, and if your not 100% I would get it fixed 😉

Personally, I think it looks totally fine the way it is.

Usually I love poof for these dresses, but the poof seems to wearing you a little. But you look gorgeous!
