Should I test? I don't want to get my hopes up for nothing.

So... we weren't planning on starting TTC until April or May but I am beginning to wonder if I need to test or just wait.

I have been feeling rediculously tired the past two weeks or so, no matter how much sleep I get, my breasts were pretty sore all last week but they seem to have subsided now, I was lightly spotting, which was super weird because it wasn't even close to time for my period, I have been rediculously hungry and then the next day, I don't want to eat at all. And I should have started yesterday or today, if my calendar is right since I have annoyingly short cycles (Like 20-25 days). And I know we had, well, risky sex during what was apparently my O week.

Am I just putting random things together or should I test? Or maybe I should wait another week to see if I am just late or my dates are off.

    What do you guys think?

At this point, there's no good reason not to test. It's better to know either way.

Honestly... I probably would. I had period symptoms mostly at first (bloating, fatigue, hunger, cramping) but it was the sore boobs that did me in. I knew something was up when that started.

Like KatyElle said, no reason not to test. Just keep in mind that if you're a week from missing your period still, it may come up negative even if you are.

@zippylef:  And that is what really made me wonder but they are norml now. No soreness. Does soreness go away?

    @Ms Hedgehog:

Mine was off and on when I was pregnant. It always scared me, but it was totally normal.

I agree that there's no reason not to test.  I didn't get sore boobs until a week or two after I found out.  My main symptom that made me think something was up was how tired I was.  I was so tired that I seriously felt hungover 24/7 even if I slept for like 14 hours.  I think it'd make you feel better to test but I do agree to remember it may be early.  I tested two days before my period was due and it was negative but got a positive when I was three days late.

@Ms Hedgehog:  Mine was on and off too. Some days they were more sore than others.

my first symptom was peeing in the middle of the night and more frequently overall!

given you are past your date for your period, testing is a good idea.  try now and if you get a negative, try again in a few days....

@Janna19:  I didn't think about that. I have been peeing like crazy! I mean, I have always gone alot but it seems like I am going 5 or 6 times a day. But I know nothing is pressing on my bladder. Maybe I am just drinking a crap ton more water.

If you try to wait a week, you will make yourself crazy.   In making the decision to test, I used to ask myself which would be worse, seeing the negative, or seeing AF?  I would go from there.  Maybe hold off a day or two if testing worries you?  Or if seeing the possible negative is easier for you than seeing AF, then there is no reason not to test sooner.  I hope that all made sense!  Good luck!!

I would just test, otherwise you will drive yourself crazy.  I'd also go ahead and get the digital test, the ones where you have to figure out if there is another line can drive you nuts.  The digital is just boom "pregnant/not pregnant."    Love it!

I say test. What harm can it do?I like First response ones :)

I was extremely moody the week before AF was supposed to show, but that is usually how I am up to AF so I didn't think anything was up. And then the day AF was due I had cramping like she was coming so I got all prepared and what do you know she never showed.

I probably would test too, but I would do it first thing tomorrow morning if AF didn't come at all today.

FWIW, I was 100% positive I was getting my period.  DH was trying to take me to the grocery store, and I was being a real witch, and when he asked me what was wrong, I snapped back at him "I'm getting my period and I DON'T WANT IT."

Few days later I tested positive.

Yeah I was taken by surprise with the peeing thing because I always thought it was a result of the baby pressing on your bladder.  nope.  its the hormones, and it happnes quickly for some of us! ... according to BabyCenter: "Shortly after you become pregnant, hormonal changes cause blood to flow more quickly through your kidneys, filling your bladder more often" and more often at night too.

DEFINITELY test!  The fatigue part is key, especially if you know you had some risky sex.  haha.  Let us know as soon as you hear!  Oh, and I too began peeing a ton right away.  Couldn't make it through the night!  Good luck!

I'm in the same exact boat right now! I should be getting my period in 4 to 5 days but I just haven't felt like myself the past 2 weeks or so. I'm tired all the time, I had a migraine the other day which caused me to throw up, my boobs are getting bigger by the day and my Husband keeps joking I'm pregnant but doesn't want to test until I've missed my period if I do. I want to test because I have a feeling if I get my period I'm going to be heart broken :(.

SO my answer to your question is... TEST! lol

I would test if I were you!! I test like 3 times a month to be sure though. It has  become normal for me to expect a BFN cuz we aren't trying yet. I am dieting right now so if I did become pregnant I wouldn't wanna hurt the baby =)

My boobs never hurt all of the time. In fact, a lot of the time it was just one boob, off and on. And I was crazy tired. I'd go ahead and test in the AM, and then come back and let us know!

UPDATE: And the test said? Not Pregnant. Which is both a bummer and a relief. I will retest in a week if I don't start.
