I am thinking about using a wedding coordinator to do the planning start to finish. I have control issues and I obsess, so I’m afraid if I do this on my own I will be so stressed out and sleep deprived. Everyone will hate me and I probably won’t have a groom anymore come the wedding day.
Has anyone used a wedding planner? If so, is it work the expense?

Lol, I would recommend a coordinator to minimize stress and to have a groom on your wedding day! It’ll be better planned out and coordinated and you and your family will not have as much to worry about. Your to-do list will shrink and (mostly) everything on the wedding day will be taken care of. You will also have access to many vendors through the coordinator.
If your budget allows and you think you have found a good coordinator, then go for it! If the wedding planner is out of your budget, try looking for a Day of Coordinator. They are available to you on the day of your wedding to make sure vendors are doing the vendor-y things they are paid to do and they take care of a bunch of other tasks like setting up favors, making sure your centerpieces are set, etc.
It all depends on what you are willing to spend and how much help you need.
