You’re not doing the toss, your FI doesn’t care about it AND you don’t want to spend the money on it?  The answer is no, hon!!

I have been wondering the same thing! I am leaning towards not having one. It seems silly.

I would be interested to hear if other brides did not and wished they had…

I don’t think you should wear one. I will be because I want the pictures of me putting it on

I agree, garters aren’t a big deal. If you want one, though, they don’t have to be expensive. I made mine with about $5 worth of material from Joanns, jsut an elasticy fabric, a couple little flowers in my colors and some beads. I got two bunny, and painted one brown, because my husband’s and my nicknames for each other is honey bunny, and I am brownish and he is white. I actually was planning on just taking it on our honeymoon, and then in all the business I forgot! So, I’ll have to just dig it up for anniversaries ๐Ÿ™‚

@TogetherThroughLife:  To be fair, I have regretted wearing a garter belt and suspenders before. Very uncomfortable! ๐Ÿ™‚

But seriously, you’re right! I will probably not bother with a garter. I do love the pictures, but I don’t think it’s worth it.

I’m not planning to wear a garter. I don’t really get the tradition at all, and I can imagine it would be really uncomfortable under a heavy wedding gown.

Haha, I deleted my last garter photos from Pinterest today. FH could care less, we arent doing a toss and I dont want to wear a $15 one. If I got one it would have to be really nice (which costs $50+) and would be for photos only. Not worth it.

@MeiFrancis:  Thats the only reason I keep tossing around the idea of getting one despite all the reasons I shouldnt (see my previous comment directly above^) The photos look so nice!

    I wouldn’t bother.

I actually did have a garter toss and didn’t put the garter on until right before we did the toss. They are just super uncomfortable.
