I have been going back and forth regarding accessories ever since I ordered my dress. The neckline and straps of my dress are pretty detaild and I’m not sure if I should look for a simple pendant/tear drop necklace to wear with it or if I should just forego a necklace all together and get some statement earrings. I will be wearing my hair up, but would also like to wear a feather fascinator. Not a huge one, but I have always wanted to wear one for my wedding, but I don’t want their to be too much going on with overly blingy/flashy earrings, the faschinator and maybe a necklace. Thoughts? This is what the neckline of my dress looks like.

NovemBride1415: I’ll caveat this by saying I have very minimal fashion sense, but I think a simple pendant/tear drop necklace would be very pretty! It’ll highlight the sweetheart neckline, by creating a “v” shape that points to the dip in the bodice top. Also, personally, if I were to wear a feather fascinator, I’d keep my earings on the simple side. This way, with a simple necklace and simple earings, the focus stays on your dress and your feather headpiece, the things you love most!

NovemBride1415: I was actually going to suggest the same thing as LoveMyBrit did. I think a simple necklace and simple earrings will have just enough sparkle and not overwhelm you with the feather fascinator.

LoveMyBrit: hyzenthlay: Thank you, ladies! I had those same thoughts, but kept second guessing myself!

Don’t wear a neckalce, it’s too much with the detail of your neckline and the straps.

I generally love a simple drop or pendent necklace with V neck dresses. I think it balance the overall look and gives something for the eyes to rest on.

I would just wear big earrings, like dangly teardrop ones, with no necklace.
