I was just doing a last minute check of our registry, and I noticed that our registry is getting picked over. We have about 70 items left. I would say about 50 of those items fall in the $20 and under category, 1-2 items are “big ticket items” (which would be a little over $100), and the rest are about $20-$40 each, mostly being closer to the $20 mark.
We’re having a wedding with 200 guests. My question is (and knowing that people do like to give money as gifts in our area), should FI and I add a few more things to the registry? I’m a fan of giving people choices (and I also know that a lot of people will shop in between the wedding and reception, especially since we have a gap in between), but I also don’t want to look greedy and/or register for things we don’t need. We’re moving into a 935 sq. ft. apartment, so not tiny, but not a mansion by any means.
Also, if you think we should add anything, suggestions are welcome :-).

I don’t think you need to add to it. If you had mostly big ticket items left I would so that a guest on a budget could get you something. But with the less expensive items left I would go ahead and leave it. If I had planned on spending more on your wedding I would pick up two or three things instead of just one.

I would just keep an eye on it. My cousin had mostly smaller stuff left on his registry and then one day most of it was gone. He had a lot of spoons/spatulas left to cook with on there….and I think one person went and bought all of it (or most of it) as their gift.

Hi we got everything off of our registry except for four china place settings
2 sets of china mugs and one sauce pan that is extra to our set
I am not adding anymore. My guests can either choose from the left over things we wanted, write a check, or give us nothing : )
Either way I cant wait to see everyone on our big day
( We did not have a very large registry to begin with.. probably 60 items..
95 people coming to our wedding out of 105 invited

I would leave it as it is. (But then again, I would prefer to get money than items I don’t need.)
