This is what the room looks like to start with:
And if we did black chair covers and a black linens with red carnation centerpieces it would look something like this:
I am not sure whether we would do a table runner or not because our centerpieces will look like this and I don’t want it to be too busy
It’s about a $300 difference between look A and look B, so not that significant. I am for chair covers but FI isn’t at all.
I am also open to more decor ideas!

I would not use the chair covers and use the $300 for the honeymoon.

If it’s important to you that the room have that “look,” do chair covers. I voted against them, though, I hate them, LOL. (I remember hating them at weddings I’ve been to, but I don’t remember specifically which weddings they were, so obviously it’s not a big deal either way! I’m not like, “Oh, hey, remember Romancia’s wedding? Her chairs SUCKED.”)

We just added chair covers and I’m soooo excited! Tey transform the room and make everything look so elegant! I can’t wait!

My biggest issue is that how much I hate all the white linens, I just love having the room transformed into something more elegant with black linens but that still doesn’t necessitate chair covers. So confused 🙁

@CrazyCatLady13: I don’t like the look of chair covers. Maybe use some of that money to change the table cloth color?

The chairs are red. Use the black linens and the red centerpieces, but on a gold charger (to match the chairs), and it will look fantastic. I would definitely opt to save the $$$, since it would look so great without them (IMO).

Normally I am not a fan of chair covers, but in this situation I think it is as must. Those chairs are just not very good looking without them, to be honest.

@CrazyCatLady13: It looks like a conference room without chair covers. They chair covers dress then room up.

I usually hate chair covers but I like those black ones! Very cool! The white linens and uncovered chairs are kinda ugh for me.
Wabanzi’s idea might be good too, as a second choice.

@CrazyCatLady13: The room is beautiful as is and $300 for such a minor detail is too much for me. I also had a chair cover conundrum but decided that it’s only one day and the money is better spent on my honeymoon!

I dont like chair covers, but I feel that those chairs need them. Just a suggestion, how about if you alternate the ribbon so that it’s 1 every 2 chairs. I feel that helps to make the room looks less monotone

@CrazyCatLady13: I like the look of the chair covers. Just don’t do black and black! It’s too dark. I like the black table covers with white chair covers.

@CrazyCatLady13: If the chairs are red and that fits into your wedding colors, then just leave them alone. If red has nothing to do with your wedding colors and those are the only chair options, then definitely get covers in your color scheme. Also this is just my opinion, but I think table runners on a round table look funny.
@ceebree: +1 I second the no black on black.

Without the chair covers it looks too business. You want it to look like a wedding.
