I think this is a great idea!! You can sort of send it like we celebrated the new year becoming husband and wife in a small intimate ceremony!!! Love you guys and we cannot wait to see you in 2010... you know?

This is both mine and my FI's second marriage. Mine was 11 years ago and his lasted only 3 months. Family did not come to either of our first. This time around only immediate family is coming.
We're both in our mid thirties but doing a "real" wedding ceremony despite it being small. Should we maybe send announcements w/ a photo to out of state family and friends? I'm not sure if that would seem like we're asking for gifts or make anyone feel bad that they were not invited.
I just would like them to have a photo and know we got married, nothing more. What do you think?
