@MsMamaBear:

That’s great to hear! It’s tough to be positive while waiting. But try as hard as you can because let me tell you… When my younger brother got married I was positive all the way up until they both said “I do” (literally… in the church). THAT’S when it hit me and the tears started rolling down my face, and the thoughts in my head turned on me. I looked at my mom and dad and they looked at me, and they knew exactly why I was crying. It was a horrible feeling to have that day. My b/f had just lost his job and I was even further away from a proposal than I ever was before. And there I was, sitting at my YOUNGER brothers wedding. Although I was happy for them, I felt so down.

SO! Try to stay positive. Keep your mind off of it (I know, easier said than done, lol)

Gwen.

I think you’re just genuinely happy for her, so that if it does happen you’d just be excited for her. I think its a great attitude to have. I’m sure while helping her plan her wedding you’d bookmark a lot of cool ideas for her. Either way you win.

I think I myself am having a good waiting period. Lets see how long it lasts.

I’m glad you’re happy for them! I would love to have a friend getting engaged around now just so I could talk weddings all day and to watch what they’re doing!

Good for you! Thats awfully refreshing to hear. I never quite understood the people who weren’t happy and/or just plain angry at their friends engagements. Doesn’t sound too “friendly” lol!
