I found a gorgeous gown over the weekend, and I think it might be the one! I have been looking for pictures of other brides in similar dresses (a-line, v-neck, no lace or beading), but I can’t seem to find anything! It’s a Watters gown called the Andrina. Did anyone wear a similar gown that would be willing to share pictures? I’d love to see how others styled such a classic, simple dress. I think it might give me the confidence to finally make the decision and say yes to the dress!

jade323 : swoon, love the pockets. Beautiful and classic dress. There are so many ways you can wear this- it depends on the vibe of your wedding.
There are a few bees who’ve worn dresses like this, hopefully they’ll see this- if not, you might want to start a thread about an elegant ball gown with pockets.

BalletParker : Thank you! I LOVE the pockets!
I am hoping at least a few people have pictures to share. I’ve always wanted a classic dress like this — but seeing SO many dresses with tons of lace and sparkles has me second guessing a little. I think once I see how lovely it looks in real life, I’ll be sure 🙂

jade323 : Though I have no pictures of brides IRL, I’d like to share some suggestions. As you’ve mentioned, your dress is a classic; I would add that it is the perfect example, when it comes to styling it, that less is more. Since your dress is a very tailored look, I suggest a sleek and very structured hairdo; those so very popular loose curls/wavy hairstyles won’t connect so well with this dress. Do avoid going overboard with accessories; just one piece with impact – such as your heapiece -is enough. And please, no belt! Just some examples:

Haven’t worn mine yet, but v-neck, crepe with no beading/ lace.

Mine does have lace/beading but it’s a V-neck and sheath/a line shaped – I’m wearing a headpiece (no veil) and a simple drop neclace with it

I didn’t end up purchasing this as the neckline was too low for my ceremony, but I LOVED it. Personally with dresses like this I love the look of leaving them bare (no belt or sash) and then adding a thick crystal bracelet and some type of fun veil! Maybe a berry lip if thats something you would be into?
