I don’t think there’s been a post for really unique save the date ideas for a little while, so I am wondering if there are any fresh ideas out there.
One of my favourites that I’ve seen lately is this little beauty, which would be so easy to do at home fairly inexpensively:

Never seen these in real life, nor has anyone I know ever seen them either:
Business card sized magnets with the basic info and a picture of your choice
Cd with favorite songs (that fit your theme?) with the info printed on the cd sleeve

@Selene221: A friend of ours did the business card sized magnet thing recently, which look pretty cool (and very convenient to remember as it’s on our fridge)…

I saw these on here made by a bee and want to steal the idea :

These are pop-ups! I even made a thread to find out where they’re from..
Before seeing these I wanted to do a photobooth strip style magnet, which is fun but also useful.

I never saw anything like the first one you posted, but I ended up doing something similar. It doesn’t matter how inventive you think you are, someone else has gone and done the same thing! Ha!

I just ordered my Save The Dates from MagnetStreet Weddings & they are so cute! We are having a Fall themed wedding & I think these save the date magnets go so well with our theme! Also, we are having wood slabs used in our centerpieces that have our intials carved into them also!

I love these, but they didn’t go with the theme of our wedding at all. I’m waiting for a fun bride to cross my path that I can do these with.
This is the DIY instructions for it

Here’s the Save the Date that we did.

Wow, these are awesome. There’s so many cool ideas to choose from!

We did a literal photo of save the date and had vista print groupon to get the prints on postcards. Our guests are LOVING them! We added a word balllon with “save the date” being exclaimed.
(save the date did not have watermark, but to protect our photographers, I posted with the watermark).
They also did one photoshoping in their dog (our dog would not cooperate and play tug of war). I was told that we could not “cheat” on our dog and use this one, but a great idea none-the-less!

I’m really not trying to toot my own horn but I DIY’d mine and they were book themed, so I made a fake library card slip

I really like that idea, but how much would they cost to ship?
