Oh i guess I'd call this an ornate setting...it has a lot going on but I don't know that it's what you were looking for since it's not antique or filigree.
No,I'm open to seeing anything less than 'simple'! I love to see what works and what looks like it has too much going on. Thanks for posting, looks blingy and bold but really works--I like the different stone cuts, very interesting!
I have a very ornate art deco ring, and I had a custom band made in platinum with a simple milgrain edge.

Oooh, pretty ring, Nexus6. I think what you did is along the lines of what I'm leaning towards atm. A gold band that's not entirely plain, but has a simple scroll design on the edges or something
Ah, yeah, mine isn't really going to help you then, it's too far off base. Blingy and bold is what I do! lol.
I'm lucky, in that the place my FI got my engagement ring makes a matching wedding band. I love the design on my ring a lot, so I'm definitely going with the matching band. I tried on some simple bands, to see how they looked, but I just LOVE bands with designs on them!
This is the ring I'm getting:
Here is a junky cell picture of mine - mismatched and fabulous haha. The ring is not clean so it's a little less sparklin' on the sides than usual. Picture it with bling noises, haha.
Thanks for the pictures ladies! This is definitely helping me figure out what to do. If anyone else has pics of their setup, I'd love to see them!
Here's the ring:

and here's the band I want! (we're getting it made) (I used to want that style e ring too!) But at the jeweler's today, we put the band (the exact memoire band) with my ring and they were blingerriffic!

Just imagine my 3 stone beauty with this band! I can wear them together, or on separate hands, or just e ring, or just wedding band! I love them so much :)
You can never go wrong with a classic diamond eternity band. My e-ring is fairly ornate too with the side diamonds in two different shapes surrounding the band. We are getting me a 2ct round shared prong setting eternity band, which will look really nice next to it.
Sorry but its a terrible shot, but I am very proud of it. My FH made it completly by hand and I LOVE it. We have an appointment to get the saphire surrounded by diamonds added next week. CAN"T WAIT!!!!
My david yurman ring is not antique but the cable design is so hard to match something with. I didn't like the plain david yurman cable ring and the matching ring at Yurman was an eternity band that isn't meant to fit exactly into the e-ring. I had my eternity band made at a local jeweler and the two look beautiful together! Can't wait to wear them both in 27 days. My ring is the cushion cut e-ring not the oval one.
Veganglam, where did you find that setting? I love antique style jewelry, and especially three stone rings. Could you link me? It's a gorgeous ring!
Here's mine - but for religious reasons I will wear my wedding band on my right hand and my e-ring on my left, so they don't need to fit together.

I do not want to wear the wedding band yet, so I put the engagement ring with it in the box. They are sapphire and diamond, the stones were dontate by my bethrothed's mother. We designed both of the rings and I have never been more excited to wear something for the rest of my life.

So the e-ring I'm going to have made this summer is fairly ornate, and I'm debating what kind of band to get with it. For those of you that have antique/filigree/other ornate sorts of bands for your e-rings, what sort of wedding band are you doing? Simple, or something complementary and likewise ornate? I'd love to see pics!
Here's what my ring will look like, with some modifications (ie, will have Moissanite instead of Peridot, different shade of yellow gold, some other minor design changes).
