I don’t have that dress, but it looks gorgeous on you! If you decide to wear a belt, I think around the waist might be more flattering. Just my opinion.

the dress is pretty! I like it under the bust for these proportions, but I’d need to see the final fit for any real decisions. I don’t think it’s too plain without the belt, nor too busy with. so fine either way, because of the pretty ruching and then the clean fabric. nice choice!

@Jayme917:  You look gorgeous!! I think the belt looks great under the bust, but it would be just as great at the waist. I’m not helping! 😛

@Jayme917:  can you post a pic of the belt at your waist? You have a great figure and I think it looks great as is!!!  You have a really great figure and at the belt at the waist might show it more, but you don’t need it there by any means

@Jayme917:  I love your dress and would vote for an empire waist belt.

Here is a pic of me in that dress (stock store dress). They added ‘pretend sleeves’ for me because my church won’t allow strapless… It’s a beautiful dress and you look great in it! You’ll feel better once you see it again!

I like the the belt better at empire waist personally. I think the dress was really designed for that shape.

Personally, I think it looks better around your waist, though I doubt you could go wrong either way. I just think having it around your waist shows off your (gorgeous) hour-glass figure more by accenting your tiny waist.

I wore a belt with my Allure 8861.  I had the same concerns that you have, and I am glad I picked a simple dress because I was able to add my own accessories to make it a one of a kind.  The dress is beautiful on you 🙂

Jayme917:  I had a very simple bustle, I think it was just 3 ties but I can’t remember exactly – sorry!  I didn’t wear a slip – I didn’t need it since there is a lining and a couple layers of netting.  I also changed into a reception dress after dinner.
