I'm excited to see what everyone is dressing their bundles of joy in :) I can't contribute yet but can't wait till I can :) We will also be team green. I plan to get both boy and girl outfit from Kohls because as long as I have the reciept they do not have a time limit on returns.
@Sassygrn: That is TOO cute
@AvantLaLettre: I haven't even thought about this... but wonder if I need to since we're having a homebirth. hmmmmm....
My SIL was team green so she brought one of each and then just returned the boy outfit because she had a baby girl. I think that's a great idea if you want a gender specific outfit. I'm sure after waiting 9 months to find out, I'd want the outfit to be either PINK or BLUE to scream from the roof tops what my baby is.
@Sassygrn: Such a cute sleeper, I want one in my size! It's so cozy.
Hehe and the funny thing this outfit was a hand me down to! Baby boy was 7 weeks early so didn't get a chance to purchase a going home outfit.
@MarryMeTiffany: So good to know, maybe I will shop there too then!
@Sassygrn: Super cute!! I totally love it he looks so cozy :)
@amnystik: Haha probably not, maybe just a cute outfit for pictures afterwards but whenever you get a chance!
My daughter was born on the record hottest day of the summer that year! So we brought her home in the little hospital-given cap, a white cotton onesie and a very light receiving blanket. Very simple and comfy! Since our next baby will also be a June baby, it will probably be something similar. Nothing frilly or ornate, just comfortable and breathable.
I'm still looking for something cute. I dont know what the weather will be like in april but I will buy a few layers so I have different options
@AvantLaLettre: I found a picture of my now 3 year old son when I brought him home. He was born on Nov 24th and it was cold that year.

This is what my Lo wore home.. It was kind of a pain getting her into a onesie and a sweater and pants.. next time I will definitely go with a sleeper.
Here's our pisture. My birth team had matching shirts for my husband, sister and I. They all had "Team Wombat" on them, but they had "Daddy," Auntie," and "Mommie" on the front with "Coach," "Assistant Coach," and my last name on mine since I was the athlete. Anyway, we left in these shirt with Wombat in her special "Team Wombat" onesie.

We don't have our outfits yet, but my family tradition is that babies come home from the hospital in all white. I'd love to find some kind of pretty knit sleeper and hat, but haven't had any luck so far. Also have to figure out what size to get, since the twins could be teeny tiny to normal size!
We got this sweet little outfit from Carters. I also got a matching hat:) The back of the pants have little ruffles on the bum. It's newborn sized, so I am assuming that she will likely only wear it once or twice, but it's worth it to me!

@TheFutureMcBride: I'm seriously dying over that adorable outfit and that gorgeous picture! I love it!!!
I'm Team Green but we have two girl outfits and two boy outfits, so one of them will be the going home outfit, in addition to a white sweater my mom has knit. I will probably use a gender specific blanket as well, although we haven't yet purchased anything for that.
I'm loving all these adorable outfits and pics! Good to know that one-pieces are easier... will probably go with that.
@TheFutureMcBride: LOVE wombat's coming home outfit!! soooo precious!!
@AvantLaLettre: yeah I second just doing a one piece outfit. It is a struggle to dress a newborn and they're so tiny and fragile.
I haven't decided yet what I want to put my son in.. I'll see if I get any cute outfits at my shower, and if not I'll peruse somewhere to decide..
I love these little sweater outfits though from BRU, they have it in blue as well. I've seen it in white/ivory in other places and that'd be an option for gender neutral.

Not pregnant, but I LOVE seeing everyone's coming home day outfits. D'aw, they're the best.
I just saw some super cute outfits on zulily
@miss-spunkin: OMG i looove the sweater outfit!! soo cute!! My work isn't letting me open zulily but I will check later, thanks!
@AvantLaLettre: the brown could work for a girl though, if you put a little headband on her, or a pink sash type thing.
I love it too :) pretty tempted to get it and then maybe do some NB pictures in the outfit.
@miss-spunkin: Yeah, you could probably make it work for a girl, but it looks cuter for a boy if you ask me. You should definitely get it :)

When we did our hospital tour, we saw babies in such adorable little onesies, hats, socks, etc. It got me determined to find something adorable to bring baby home in! We are team green, so we're undecided between buying a boy outfit AND a girl outfit, or a neutral with gender specific hat and/or socks. I would love to see what people did or are doing!
