I have a few posts on here about the poofyness of my wedding dress. Can you show me your ball gown wedding dresses? The poofyer the better. :)
These pics were before alterations - so the corset fits a lot better now!
This is the one I bought, sorry it's not a photo of me in it.... the only thing is, it doesn't look puffy at all on me!!!!!!!!!!! i think it's because i didn't buy the underskirt (is there another name for it???) and now I'm wondering whether I should......... either way I don't want it to be too big like in the photo!

Just like MrsBtoBee, I don't want it to big for pictures and I am worried with the underskirt added, it might be. :(

@Amaryllis: Thanks! I love it so much toooo!!! No, I didn't get it off the classifieds -- was there one posted recently?? I originally had my heart set on Amsale's Reese, but the bridal salon i went to happened to have Candace and I fell in love!
@anon12345: There was! We had been in correspondence for over a week to share pictures and discuss the price, and I told her I would buy it. I was basically ready to pay for it when the seller dropped off the face of the internet. I sent her multiple messages afterwards and never heard back. Don't know what happened there, but I had thought if you bought it that would explain things! I have given up and moved on, but it still puzzles me.
Omfg Future Mrs. Martin...that train!!! SO much flowing fabric...I love it!
So I had my heart set on a particular ballgown for about 8 months...and now I am wavering big time. Just as I was about to buy it. Sigh...
@Amaryllis: Wow that really sucks! There was a period of time after I tried on the sample before I knew that they'd definitely be able to order it for me, and if it had fallen through I would have been DEVASTATED.
What size are you looking for? I know our weddings are only 2 months apart, but maybe we could work something out...?
This is mine on the model. I got an even fuller criniline to wear under it. For me the fuller the better.

Are you ballgown wearers buying hoop crinolines? I think if I buy a full crinoline I will be happier with my dress, not loving it right now(cold feet for my dress!)
@fishwoman: My crinoline is just the very fullest one I could get. It needs to be extremely full to hold up my gown because my gown is very heavy with all the beading and lace. It does not have a hoop. I wanted to be able to sit in my gown, and I really don't think I would be able to if I wore a hoop.
I also had minor dress regrets when I went to the salon to try it with the crinoline that they had ordered for me. I really wasn't happy with my gown, until I found a fuller crinoline for it. Now I love it.
@superteacher: That is a good idea. If I did that for my gown though, it wouldn't be able to fit back in the garment bag.
The dress I have been considering for so long has a hoop (and multiple crinolines) built-in. I sat in it. It was all good. Now the overall weight of the dress, on the other hand...
@noritake22: Where did you find your crinoline, im having the same problem because my dress is so heavy and I don't want an A line crinoline, i want it to be fuller towards the waist.
@fishwoman: David's bridal has a pretty big one for $59. when I took my dress for alterations, they steamed it out. Made it quite large! Make sure they get the ballgown one, not the a line one.

Heres my girl! :) Im SOOOO happy with her. She comes in tomorrow, and I finally get to put her on. yay!!
@natalila:thank you! It always helps to have people's opinions. Now I just need to get the crinoline and take some real life pictures, that will help. Its also difficult becasue i'm short (5'2") and its a cathedral length train, super long! Once its hemmed it may not feel like i'm 5 years old playing dress up in my moms clothing! There is just so much fabric!

These dresses are absolutely beautiful! I love ballgown dresses. My cell phone compresses all the pictures I take, hopefully I can get a better picture on Saturday. Yes, Davids Bridal has a full crinoline for only 69$, though its not as full as Noritakes underskirt.
For you all the girls, do you think you will have issues with those full dresses on the dance floor?

here's mine - it's dropped waist, so keeps the poufyness down, but is still considered a ballgown.

@veganglam: Thanks - I love it! And the seamstress did an amazing job with the bustle I was so worried. Because when she was first playing with it she Kept saying "Soooo much fabric" over and over again! What is giving you second thoughts on yours?
@megan215: It will be hot but I will rock that dance floor in my massive dress :-)
