@FemShepN7:

do you have any feedback about using blue nile from Australia? I love some of their settings, but am nervous about purchasing online AND overseas!

@diddles112230:  They’re pretty great actually! FI got to choose the stone and setting etc and when it arrived it was just perfect. The only drawback is the stupid customs fee, but then again, it’s pretty expensive to get quality e rings in this country, well as far as I could tell. It was a great bargain. They’re also willing to resize or change the setting if you order the wrong size, but again, you have to ship it back. Just be sure you know what you want or how your ring will look if you’re picky. Sure, they do returns, and when I returned the matching wedding ring because I didn’t think they worked together, they were great. But it’s still a pain to be sending things overseas. So yeah, overall, I wouldn’t be scared at all, I highly recommend them 🙂

@rascchot:  My wedding bands are not.  They are from a local jewler.  I wanted to be able to try them on and think about it before purchaing 🙂  Thank you.

@FemShepN7:

and from what I’ve read, the customs fee is around 15% of the total ring cost? From what I’ve seen, you can either go to Zamels / Shiels and get fairly poor quality with limited choices, go to Gerard McCabe or the like and pay $13000 for a better quality but very overpriced 1 ct ring, or you can look online.. I just need to convince FI it’s a good option now 🙂

@diddles112230:  Think it’s 10%? That’s just off the top of my head, might be wrong. But yes, Aus is v bad for value for money!!!!!!! Some people have found some excellent bargains, but FI couldn’t.

Sorry to threadjack here! Back to the BN halos!
