This is mine.  I made the pearl stems and bought the flowers at hobby lobby on a half off Sale. Altogether it was less than $20.

@tksjewelry:  WOW. Great job for $20! I wish I was capable of DIY :/ I’m just not crafy/creative like that. I ended up shelling out $240 for my brooch bouquet, but I knew it would be a disaster if I attempted it myself.

My dad grew all our wedding flowers in our garden and my cousin arranged my bouquet for me.  Dahlias, zinnias, black-eyed susan, purple sage… not sure what else!

@Luayne:  I saw your bouquets posted elsewhere and just fell in love with them.  It doesn’t fit our wedding, but I think I’ll try some of your copper flowers for our house decor.

@wabanzi:  It would be easy enough to adjust materials to fit if you wanted. Use pale colour fabrics instead of the leather, some pearls on wires instead of the gears…so many ideas!!!

@keevolpi:  That’s a great idea if you have green thumbs in your family.  My dad LOVES to garden, loves projects, and is retired – so he was psyched to have a big wedding project that involved tinkering in the garden all summer.

DIY flowers are more of a pain because you have to cut them, gather them, and arrange them – and you can’t really do it ahead of time… maybe the day before.  But it’s such a sentimental part of the wedding to have family members help with!
