I really, really need to stop procrastinating by reading wedding bee posts, but since you asked, I thought I'd do one more post : )
It's not black or satin, but here it is - I'm getting married in a spanish-style courtyard in puerto rico and thought the style was fitting for the location and the color would pop against all the greenery in the courtyard. Oh, it's alfred angelo.

Mine are from J Crew, 2 are wearing this exact one and the other 2 are wearing the strapless version (same dress w/o the halter part)....
I got them all on various stages of sale, down from $210 to $160, $130 and $75!
I just told my fiance I'd rather be on weddingbee than studying, but yes, since you asked... :)
I just have a maid of honor, and she's wearing this strapless silk taffeta dress from J. Crew. The color is light pewter, and we're thinking she'll pair the dress with shoes and accessories and a bouquet that pop - shades of blue and green and pink.
Edit: I believe this is the strapless version of the dress runrgirl just posted about!

I let each of my girls pick a dress of their choice in a shade of blue.
My MOH is wearing a Mori Lee dress in blue.
One bridesmaid is wearing Jenny Yoo "Ella" is arctic blue.
And the other bridesmaid is wearing a Lula Kate dress called Annie is a "sapphire" blue.

@jduck84- HA! Totally is...great minds think alike, right? Love that grey color but in the end, went w/ the blue...Such a pretty dress in both colors, although I have to say, I feel like the grey ones have a better chance of being worn more than once!
Mine are also J Crew but a little less traditional. We are having an afternoon wedding, so I think they will work. Plus my maids love the pockets!

Here are mine. They're technically champagne pink but they'd work in black, too =]. My SIl wore a black maternity dress with a sash.....i think it was more of a stretchy chiffon though. It's a convertible dress--way cute! It was strapless with a double-layered asymmetrical hem. very flowy and gorgeous. Plus she can wear it post-pregnancy too. =]

My girls will be wearing this dress, but in dark brown. I'm sure they have it in black, too. When all six of them tried it on they LOVED it and said how they'd love to wear it again for other events - SCORE!

Jenny Yoo Crinkle Chiffon. This one for my busty maid of honor...

I love it because the girls can wear it again, and we can accessorize with orange! The girls love it because it's only$135 and it has pockets. It looked amazing on all my girls and they have very different body types. :)

this doesn't quite count-- or does it? -- but my only bridesmaid is my 8-year-old niece. she's maid of honor. she's wearing a Regency (Jane Austen-era) reproduction pattern, with society-silk fabric... and a head-wreath of vintage millinery flowers and grape vine (made by me). This dress was posted (briefly) online today. Not sure if its new or not, but now when checked the website it isn't listed even when you search by style number. I like it a lot!!! and I LOVE that it has pockets!

This is mine. I'm doing something a little unorthodox. My wedding colors are rasperry, green apple, and ivory and we plan to tie it all together with the flowers and bouquets, etc. My MOH will wear cassis (which is kind of like a raspbery) and the bridesmaids will wear leaf (like an emerald green). I hope the picture attaches okay.

We let our bridesmaids pick their own green dresses. I think it turned out lovely.
My bridesmaid dress is the almond and peach color... Im hung between long and short... The MOH dress should be different from the rest right? But I don't want just one short dress because I think it will throw off the pictures.. but I have 6 girls total.. so even if 1/2 wanted one and 1/2 wanted the other... Any ideas on short vs. long.... its a May wedding in Oklahoma 2010

So the thread on 'Show me your dresses" has been inspirational to me so since I am having such a hard time deciding on bridesmaids dresses I want you to show me what you picked for your girls to wear!
For our wedding I am looking for knee-length and black, maybe in a satin.....but I feel like there are so many options, but nothing has really made me excited.
