This is similar to what we're doing (minus the thing on top), and in our colors. So, instead of the browns it'll be bright pink, yellow, green and blue.

I like it because it was cheap! I got it through a local grocery store. It was delish and I like how it looked (I just gave the bakery some inspiration images).

@ MissStellar...I love yours! Very unique, don't think I have seen a design like that before. You could do it in any color combo and it would look great!

LOVE THIS! Cakes are my favorite. Let me see if I can find the one I like (but probably won't be able to get). I might look at ordering sugar flowers online to make it work...
Also, we'll have yellow flowers instead of pink, and I am determining if I want a cute topper as well. Whaddya think?

This is what ours will be. The photo is from the baker's website. It's chocolate cake with chocolate icing, and white chocolate flowers. I can't wait to eat it!!

The cake of my dreams is really big, lots of tiers, and it is round. It will be covered in white icing roses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we are going to have this cherry blossom design as our wedding cake. I love it :)
I also found this super darling cake topper on etsy by RedLightStudio.
I think I will also do a custom order for a little bird to be added to the nest since our son will be a year and a half when our wedding is here. It is going to be super cute!

Here's mine, kinda. Without all the floofy stuff on top and sides (no ribbons or flowers) and the colors will be champagne pink and champagne. It's only 2 layers, though--we're serving sheet cake

This is the cake I'm going to have! I love the simplicity of it & how homemade it looks! I'll be putting some peach roses on top though for our litle beach wedding!

Here was my cake. I loved it because i really didn't want fondant (hate how it tastes), but DH loves how it looks. So I found a baker that makes her own buttercream frosting that looks just like fondant! Each tier was a different flavor and filling - it was a complete hit with our guests!
I've had cake on the brain, too! My last blog post was all about it. :o)
Here's what my cake will look like, with the following modifications: 3 tiers, in our color scheme, covered in fondant (summer in Miami, grr).
I can't wait!

the only difference is the big brown bow will be brushed in a metallic gold for my brown gold cream and green color theme (ya no green on there but whatevs)
do you think I could do a cake topper with this cake? or no because of the bow on top?

@chantellamus- I think a cake topper might be a lot with the bow. It sort of is the cake topper. you could maybe make a monogram out of sugar and place it in the center of the bow.

I finally figured out how to post a picture! So here was my cake:

I wanted a very simple cake that incorporated our colors.. the tiny flowers have a very pale pink center that is hard to see in the photo. There are also sporadic black centers in some of the flowers.
My fav part... the TASTE! Yummiest cake ever... and they let us have different flavors for each layer!

Um, yeah... scratch my previous post! I changed my mind. (We brides can do that! lol) This is the design that I actually ordered. No turning back! :o)
This was my wedding cake. I was very happy with the finished product even though it wasn't exactly what I wanted at first. It just fit in. The cake was supposed to be layers of purple with white flowers, we got a bluer cake, but the catering hall put purple flowers on it and it worked. Thankfully, and since our centerpieces were purple blue and pink it all just worked out.
