@icetea: We didn’t do anything crazy with our cake table, just the cake, a runner that matched the other tables and some red ginger and other flowers that matched our centerpieces.

We kept ours simple.  We had my toss bouquet waiting for me…a beautiful runner that matched all of our tables, and then our cake knife with a Nova Scotia ribbon on it!

@icetea     I didn’t set up the table it’s not exactly how I envisioned it but we had a lot of DIY so  I had others set it up. The books tied into the decor we had vintage bookbecomes one were  covered in music sheets like the ones shown. Yes the photo was from our engagement shoot and the cake cutting set was a prize we won, so was the cake

My son wanted to add his duckies somewhere so this is where he ended up setting them. I was fine with that, he was with us through the day and the planning every step of the way.

I didn’t ask or specify anything for our table. This is just how they set it up. I like it though… the books were a neat touch.

@icetea:  Thank you. Yeah our son is the best =) Our theme was Midsummer Nights Dream so that’s why we used fairies for the cake topper. πŸ™‚

Nothing too fancy here.  The cake topper, knife, and lace tablecloth all belonged to my great-grandparents (cake topper original from their wedding; knife and tablecloth were 50th wedding anniversary gifts), so we chose to display their wedding photo as well.
