This is ours. It’s gold mirrored. I love it! Ours is a “D” though

I was just tackling this item yesterday with a slew of google searches!  I can’t seem to find a figurine/etsy option that fits our personalities so I think I’m going to go with our first initials and the & sign between them…. this is the monogram we’re using on all our printed items so it should fit well in our “theme”. 🙂

@SuperShopper: Can you let me know where you end up finding good ones?  This is something that I’d like to do as well, but I’ve found first initials and the “&” sign hard to find… I guess it doesn’t help that I’d like something more modern and not swirly 🙂

I actually made ours quite recently!  A bit of background though:  My favorite animal is the pig (yes I’m crazy!).  I have collected them since I was a little kid, and am pretty well known in my family and friends for my pig obsession.  Therefore it seemed only right that our cake topper should be of adorable little bride and groom pigs!  So I fell in love with these on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/43718661/cute-funny-bride-and-groom-pigs-wedding

But of course they had to be $99 and WAAAY out of our budget for the cake topper!  So I went out, bought some clay for $14 and made these!  I actually think they are cuter than the ones on etsy (yes, I’m biased) because they are more personalized–the bouquet I made is exactly what I will be having, plus it has our names on it and is in our wedding colors!  🙂

I suggest you think about who you two are as people and as a couple, and get something that reflects that!  Cute, funny, elegant, or simple, it should be about YOU!

@Oribel013690:

omg I love the Piggies! They remind me of the ones in that show “Shaun the Sheep” only cuter.

I got mine made from a seller on Esty, and I’m going to surprise my finance. It will be the only Star Wars that will be allowed at the wedding 🙂

@Oribel013690: So cute, I’m a pig lover too! But I didn’t think my hubby would go for a pig wedding. I got mine off of etsy. I thought we were going to have cupcakes so we got cupcake toppers, and they ended up fitting perfectly on our croquembouch!

We ended up using a couple of our folded origami cranes (we made 1000 in total!), and a “double happiness” Chinese symbol.
