@hermrs:

I would LOVE to see pics of real bride’s candy buffets or hear their ideas!

I would also love to see pics!

FI isn’t one for candy, but most of our guests are… we’re also doing a destination wedding with several after-wedding activities planned for our guests, so I’m not too worried about having extras.

I’ve been warned against it because of a limitation on flavour, but I’m going to try to colour-coordinate our candy buffet to our colorus (sage green and coral).  Of course, I will do some chocolate as well, but I’m going to coordinate it as well; I plan to use Aero Mint bubbles.. which are boring brown on the outside, but green on the inside… although I’ve had a hard time finding them in Vegas – would other bees be able to confirm for me that Aero Bubbles are actually available in the USA?  (Otherwise I’ll just bring some with me when we come down for the wedding.)

I’m not sure how to do Jelly Bellys though – we plan on getting several varieites in similar colorus, but I’m not sure if I should get coral flavours, or green flavours, or both, and if I get both, whether I should just mix them together in one bowl…. Decisions, decisions, decisions!

@hermrs:  Well, we will be driving down to Vegas and have a cooler with us anyway for other things (i.e. snacks for the trip).  I’m more wondering if the aero balls are even available in the US because just got back from Vegas and we didn’t see them in either Wal-mart or Target.

We used a company to provide the candy buffet for us. We were mostly the anti-DIY wedding, our goal was to not have to lift a finger or worry about a thing the day before and of the wedding, haha.

Here is our candy bar. We had it open all night and had take home bags with our monogram. We had SO

much left over-we dropped it off at the children’s hospital the next day.

Here’s ours. It was all DIY, not cheap, but we and our guests loved it.
