We had a mix of long rectangular tables and a few round tables, so we had two types. For the rounds, three different height vases filled with pastel roses, and two mercury glass taper candleholders with ivory tapers. For the rectangles, silver crinkle runners topped with the same candleholders and multiple small arrangements of roses all along the middle.

Well these are going to be DIY
but here is my inspiration
I'm doing a large manzanita centerpiece and then doing smaller vases around it with the pinecones and candles. There will not be any flowers

something like this (i'm debating on using the silver containers as well..) pix is from the knot...

i'll use these in silver mint julep cups...

Thanks for the ideas. I'm doing tall, medium, and short. For the short, I wasthinking about using some kind of flat glass rectangular tray filled with cofee bea ns and alternating votives and like garden rose heads or something (our colors are dk. brown and ivory). For the tall, I bought these very tall antique gold branches, but I am trying to think of how to dress them up a little - the branche aren't strong enough to support the wight of hanging candles. Any other help is much appreciated :) Oh, and I don't think I'll be using flowers much, either.
PS. Anyone know where I can find a tray like this? I've searched for serving trays and such and i'm having no such luck.
Have you tried searching for acrylic trays at all? Something like this would be pretty: http://www.cb2.com/family.aspx?c=477&f=5473 so maybe you could find them in different sizes/prices online? Also, just keep in mind the scent of all those coffee beans-- you don't want the scent overpowering the room. :) I saw these really pretty irridescent brown marble glass thingies at DollarTree when I was there last-- those would also look pretty in a tray, with candles and flower heads.
Here is my inspiration, but I am doing pink hydrangeas instead of white and having pink crystals in the bottom of the vase with LED lights under them!
I'm going with a christmas them. My colors are brown and pink. I'm doing clear votives instead of red and using pink candles. Then I'm switching out the ornaments to pink and using a white pillar candle on top.
Ok... WDYT... I bid on these on Ebay for our medium height centerpieces. I will just have to find something to put around them on the table.
@ WendyS328: That is my inspiration pic too! I want that to be my tall centerpiece but I wanted short & medium too... Still looking for ideas on those though. Are you alternating sizes?
Here are a few of the pictures I have used for inspiration. Each centerpiece will have an uplighting base.
Here's mine!

I had 3 different set ups. Each table had a blue wine bottle with a pom pom stem, a silver mint julep cup with yellow roses, and either a lantern or a bejeweled candle holder. I still have everything except for the lanterns, so if anyone wants to buy them (the wine bottles I have about 25-30 of, the single candle holders I have 20-25 of, the double candle holders I have 7-10 of, the blue votives I have about 250 of, and I have about 30-35 of the julep cups) let me know! I'll sell them to you for super cheap!! My husband just wants them out of the house, so it might as well go to someone who wants to use them rather than the goodwill!!
I loved my centerpieves & decor. I went for lot's of flowers & candals. The picture does not do it's justice cause it was taken when the candles weren't lit yet. But the whole hall smelled like flowers & had the soft glow of candle lite. Also I had ghost chairs that was the modern touch to all the traditional gold.
i've posted this somewhere before...but here it is again!
first one are the table centerpieces....the fabric under the vase and inside the vase is abaca fabric...a filipino fabric that i wanted incorporated into our reception.
the 2nd one is our cocktail table centerpieces that our florist had quickly converted from our ceremony...they were the pew markers. the vases were from michaels and they were made in the philippines...what a deal!
we had a game for each table to win the centerpieces but i forgot about the cocktail cp's and people argued over them! lol i think that was flattering since it was obviously a hit.
@ mercedes...those cents are insane!! i heart your cents!! so friggin amazing!
These candellabras are going to hold a big ball of pink and cream roses and hydrangeas! We have six of them, then six smaller gold vases for the rest of our tables.
Enjoy! My summer wedding definitely called for lots of color. Fruit inside glass with long grass, lillies, and orchids. The round one has long grass wound inside it with a piece of coppor to reflect some beautiful light. And my cheesecakes on individual pedistal stands decorated with flowers.

So far, everything else is falling nicely into place (knock on wood) and we have most of the big stuff out of the way. But I can't stop thinking about centerpieces. Show me yours. Inspire me.
