I can’t decide on my RSVP wording. I know I don’t want to do the normal Accepts with pleasure, Declines with regret. I want something cute maybe funny, sort of unique. Show me your wording for inspiration. 🙂

@Crigger5: Although my invites just had the traditional wording. I found these for you. Good Luck. I thought this one was cute as well: (Yes)I’m In, Collect $100 and Pass Go, (NO) Stuck in Jail, Lose a Turn

We are having a pretty casual reception, so I did not feel the need to be stuffy or proper. I teach 6th grade language arts, and my students love mad libs. We did a mad lib RSVP. It is a bit silly, but I will tell you, I LOVE getting these in the mail. They are either sweet or funny or inappropriate, and all are awesome to read every day. I’ll make a little booklet of them to keep, too.
If not the mad lib, ours would have said:
BE THERE OR BE SQUARE (we are having a bluegrass band and square dancing- yes!)
-YES! I LOVE SQUARE DANCING!
-I’M A SQUARE (WILL NOT BE THERE).

I wanted to do something cute and quiky too but FI’s family has a lot of older people we are inviting and I think the humor would have been lost on them…darn 🙁 I was invisioning confusion as they wonder how they should RSVP so I went with the (ho-hum) boring verbage!

We’re doing a mad-lib for our small ceremony. This is the test I sent myself.
(Exclamation!) I am/We are (adjective) to hear about your upcoming nuptials and wish you (adjective) (plural noun) of (noun). (Your name/s) is/are (adjective) to attend/miss the (adjective) wedding celebration! (advice and/or well wishes).
And here’s the RSVP for one of our at-home parties. (This is still a draft but you get the main gist.)

@MsGinkgo: I really like your suggestion.

@flying_hearts: These are so awesome! Mind if I kinda copy you?

@fzesguer: Thanks! Feel free to use whatever bits you like. I definitely pieced them together from several different ideas I had seen floating around the Bee and other places online.
I also wanted to share this awesome RSVP. Unfortunately, I’m not sure where I found it (so apologies for not giving credit where it’s due). If I had seen it sooner, I would have loved to use the “Can we get a witness?” part as a fun way to ask our wedding party to stand up with us.

Will be there with bells on!
Will be there free of bells.
Will not be there, heard people would be wearing bells.
Will not be there regardless of the bell controversy.

Mine said “wouldn’t miss it for the world” and “will be there in spirit” 🙂

At first I wanted to be silly and do “Let the good times roll”/”Roll on Without me” but then decided to simplify it so did, “Yes, can’t wait!”/”No, can’t come.”
