@MrsBPhD:  I wore a pair of Kate Spades, and they were pretty comfortable for me! I always knew i wanted to splurge on my shoes, no matter how silly. 🙂

These are my Jimmy Choos (not my photo though) IMO high end shoes are a lot more comfortable.

My autographed Manolo Blahniks.  Comfort level – for heels of that height, comparable price point I would give them a 10 (MB’s just work for me, I’ve tried Louboutins and they KILL my feet.)

Comparable to what I normally walk around in – lower heels or heels with a platform and I often tend to put insoles in my other shoes –  about a 6.

I wouldn’t call these super high end, but I wore a pair of B by Brian Atwoods for my wedding and they were VERY comfortable.

If you want to wear high heels, the trick is to find a pair with a big platform. This makes the actual rise of the heel much lower and much easier on your feet:

My Jimmy Choos! Not going to lie they are fairly uncomfortable.  I plan on getting gel inserts for the big day.

They weren’t over budget but my shoes were Jimmy Choo “Crown” pumps. They were fairly comfortable and almost 5″ tall

I am a shoe-aholic so I also wanted to splurge on these fur the wedding. However there are so many additional cost factors for us at the moment, I’d rather be sensible. So I thought I’d wear shoes that I already own (but never wore).

I love the louboutins but with regards to your question of comfort – umh definitely nothing to wear for the whole day – and also SO isn’t that tall, so maybe just for pictures or so 😉

the he ones with the bow tie are much more comfy, they’re dolce & gabbana. But he mentioned them by chance and said because of the bow tie there not suotable for a wedding? Umh what?! So now I don’t know, I may need to get shoes after all 😉
