I was specifically looking for an open culet. Mine is small so it’s not as noticeable as I wanted it to be.

monika54 :  I have one on an OEC diamond ring I inherited, and I think it’s gorgeous! It might depend on the cut and size of the culet.

I love the old cuts and cutlets are part of it. It does not bother me in the least.

GIA called my diamond an OEC, but David Atlas called it an OMC/early OEC, and I think the faceting and culet correctly reflects his observation. My culet is larger than average, and this picture makes it look MUCH larger than it looks in person (as well as much more tinted than it appears in person). But I love it, and the diamond overall as well as the antique nature of it. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’
