I made these little photos for above our tv, they are not perfect but they work.  They were about $15 total for all three, granted we had the frames.  I have also used a lot of my wedding decor pieces and revamped them for the house as we are also on a budget and plan on moving within the next 3-5 years so I don’t really want to invest in stuff that might not fit in our new place.  Good luck!

@MrsSparkle10:  Have you looked at Mrs. Panther’s blog Glitter & Goat Cheese? She blogs about a lot of her DIY home renovations and decorating. 🙂

@MrsSparkle10:  The easiest thing I do to add a little something is frame scrap book paper!

I made a sunburst mirror out of a wood disc and wooden dowels. It was super easy and similar to this:

You can also make a design with glue on a canvas and paint over it, or put little wooden letters on a canvas and paint over that for individualized art.

Check pinterest – there are ton of easy DIY decor ideas on there!

Not sure if you have a Dollar Store in your vicinity but I just bought a bunch of frames of all sizes for a buck each!

Well, we did something pretty DIY for our main focal point in our living room! We took a curtain pole, used the loops to string wires down, and we attached the wires to £5 picture frames. I then went online and blew up/printed off artwork I liked! The idea was to sort-of mimic an art gallery. Here’s the end result (sorry, we were still decorating so it’s not totally finished in this pic):

I did this with dollar store flowers. They were used in my wedding so some were left over and some were from centerpieces. I got the wreath foam form on a half off sale at hobby lobby, which they have all the time. (This pic was taken half way finished with my mantle)

@MrsWBS:  Yep, I’ve framed scrapbook paper before (in college) and it made a pretty great decoration!  I’d do it agian.  Just buy some frames and then do that or frame some nice fabric squares maybe.  I tend to like designs more than paintings of people/landscape so it’s a cheap thing to do.  You just have to find the right fabric
