Here are my pictures of me in my gown and bolero/jacket from one of my fittings.
I'm having the sleeves made shorter, almost like a cap sleeve, but I still LOVED how this bolero looks with my dress :)

I wore a lace bolero with my lace dress and I didn't have any issue with the lace "matching" or any of that. I tried for the longest time to plan to have sleeves added and finally went with the bolero for the fact that it was easiest/cheapest. I was not gung ho about it but think it looked awesome in the end.

I ended up getting a bolero for $20 that matched my dress perfectly!

I'm wearing a dress + bolero! These pictures are from the night I bought my dress so this is the sample size + an old grody shrug of mine that I took just to get an idea of how it would look, but I'll be getting a sleeveless lace bolero for the actual wedding.

I haven't started dress shopping but I know I will probably end up with some kind of lace bolero (to cover a scar
). The problem is, I have trouble imagining which kinds of dresses go well with them and which don't. Can I pair one with a flowy, beachy dress or a kicky fifties-style dress? Do the various laces and ivories have to match up perfectly?
I need some visual inspiration! How did you couple the two??
