I have no idea how to resize so apologizing in advance if this is huge. I struggled to find earrings as well but these were perfect for me. They are long so I won’t be wearing a necklace

This picture doesn’t show how pretty, sparkly,  or classy they were…but it’s the only picture I have.  They weren’t so big that they hurt but they were big enough that they held their own haha.

ZebraPrintMe:  if you haven’t already try searching on eBay for “drop earrings” or “dangle earrings”. That’s where I had the most luck. It might sound crazy but I actually went and had a strapless top on and held different sizes of my own earrings up to my ear to see what length I had wanted. if you end up liking earrings that have links, you could always remove the links to make it shorter too.

I also have 2 piercings in each earlobe, but I decided to take out the outer one for the wedding and I’ll be wearing a stud. My earslobes are super sensitive so I can’t wear a pretty set of drop earrings :(. But I do love the ones I’ll be wearing!

I originally bought a pair of art-deco style earrings but am now considering another pair. I figured these would fulfill the “something blue” part of the wedding and would better match my hairpin. For reference, the earrings are Swarovski “Baron” and the hairpin is by Jennifer Behr.

These are mine from Etsy! There is a matching bracelet that I plan to wear as well.

Lapetitemaimai:  I have the same JB bobby pin!  Originally purchased it as an impulse when it went on sale at BHLDN and wasn’t sure if I was going to use it or not, but I think it complements the beading on my dress nicely.

I actually have some costume earrings that have the same shape as the Swavorski ones you’ve posted (though not nearly as nice, mine were about $20) that I never wear because they are so heavy.  If there is a Swavorski boutique near you, I’d recommend seeing if you could try them on in person to see if the weight would still be an issue with a better made pair.

I’m currently planning on wearing some earrings I already own, but shopping for something new is so tempting!

beerandcupcakes:  Like you, I also bought the hairpin when it was on sale and now regret not having bought two so I can emulate the look of a haircomb. The actual haircomb with lots of orchids costs over $900 at my bridal shop 🙁

As for the earrings, you’re right: I need to try them on. The only problem is that Swarovski shops, for sanitary reasons and rightly so, don’t let patrons try on earrings. Instead, the earrings are inserted into a plastic/transparent tab that you hold up to your earlobe. The earrings are felt light in my hands so it’s hard to tell.

I completely agree: all this “research” makes shopping oh so tempting 😀

I am in two minds, big sparkles or pearls. Probably not what you are looking for but I added some other images below of some I think may be of interest.
