I was a very non-traditional bride. My husband and I had an intimate ceremony with just 11 guests. Here’s my “bouquet”! I understand that this might not work for all brides, but it was perfect for me and our type of wedding 🙂

    Total cost = $50

I ordered a real touch bouquet and it was about $170 I think. I also got boutonnières and bridesmaids bouquets from the same place for a total cost of $400. I love them!

I spent around $400 and arranged the flowers myself 2 days before with a few friends.

@likewoah:  Wow, those look great!! I never would have thought you DIYed them. So pretty.

I’m curious about this, too. It seems like floral prices range SO much, even within a single area. I have no idea what’s a good deal and what isn’t.

@annb9:  Well, I’ve worked in a few flower shops, so I’m pretty comfortable around flowers. Flowers can range from cheap to extravagent depending on what you’re looking for.

Going to a flower market and arranging seasonal flowers will be the cheapest>Ordering them online and DIYing>Getting flowers arranged from a grocery store>going to a florist with a budget and ordering seasonal flowers>having a florist do your dream flowers.

I ordered flowers from the market and got a great deal. I had tons of flowers, and I specifically chose simple designs that I could whip quickly.

@laureneliz87:  I voted over 6,000 but this includes everything from flowers to all the decoration you see in the pics (trees, candles, lanterns, the whole decoration behind the bride and groom table, etc)

Refer to post #60 from this thread for pictures (there are a lot and I don’t feel like inserting all of them again) http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/how-much-did-you-spend-on-florals/page/2#axzz2rKwhDoDp

My “floral” cost was around $3K, but that also included non-floral decorations. My florist provided our card box, candelabras, draping, chairs for the ceremony, and lanterns for the exit in addition to all the flowers. We had 13 tables with alternating tall and short centerpieces. Plus our sweetheart table. Plus the flowers under the cake stand. I live in eastern Virginia.

We’ve only gotten a couple of pro pics back, so these aren’t the best for seeing the decor, but you can get an idea.

Here is my bouquet, which was $85. You can kind of see FI’s bout in the second one. We had a number of anemone bouts, which were $12.50 each, and rose and lisanthus corsages, which were $25 each.

The ceremony decor was a lot of greenery and candles. We re-purposed the aisle runners as runners on our two long tables at dinner (small wedding, so just two tables of people). We then added in our own white flowers and candles at dinner which, sadly, I don’t yet have any photos of. But you can see the ceremony decor pretty well in these pics! We spent another $400ish on the ceremony decor.
