I'm doing a San Diego Chargers garter to surprise my FI. I looked and looked and looked to find one that I didn't hate. I came across someone on here who is working with me to customize it to my specifications. Her email is: Loricia Kudrna [lil_narfster@msn.com]. I think she has an etsy shop or something. She's been great to work with so far. And, you get a tossing garter and a keepsake for only $20!
Oh my gosh- I just got pictures of the custom garters I had made (Iowa Hawkeyes) and they rock! I can get you the contact info if you are interested. They were only $20 for both (including shipping)

I'm doing a Florida Gators one. I found mine at Gators Plus and originally saw it on gatorbride.com! And the site it's from is- Gators Plus.
I didn't want a full out Gator garter- so I went with the orange and blue polka dot one. They had a very cute throw garter as well that matched.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh...I want a Memphis Grizzlies one for my FI. We both love them and it'd be such a fun surprise for him. I thought about making my own.
LOVE mine, also got the smaller, matching toss one. I wanted to keep this one :)

I don't have a picture of mine, I just used the garter that my sister got me for my bachelorette party. She paid $1 for it, hee hee. But a friend of mine did an Ohio State themed garter, it was pretty cool!
FI and I met in the Navy, getting married on the 3rd of July (4th of July weekend) so having a patriotic/Navy themed wedding!

I don't have pics of mine, because we haven't made it yet. We'e going to sew it from the lace on my mom's wedding dress and using a traditional Celtic horseshoe charm. We are not doing a garter toss, but I like the tradition of wearing a garter.
@KT I am getting that exact same garter! My fiance is in the navy and I wanted to suprise him with it :)
I just emailed the lady mentioned above and ordered mine - I'm so excited. I'm having her take off the little bow that she normally puts on them, and add some black feathers. I think it will be awesome!

Yes! I am doing a Mizzou garter. I found it on www.collegefootballstore.com ... there are several Etsy and Ebay sellers that do custom work too.

I came across the beautiful workmanship of PetereneDesign's and was just blown away at the quality and craftsmanship of her work. I also liked she didn't charge extra for a custom size! (I have dancer thighs 
)

@Ashco, that's so funny you posted that, because she makes a Pens one I want!
My only question (and this may be a dumb question)... do you wear both garters on one leg? Does FI just throw the one and not take off the bigger one?
FI removes the small "toss" garter. Ya, technically you wear both. Wear them closer to the knee... unless you have olive oil legs
Also, if you have a slinky dress you may not be able to "wear one" under it as it may show through.
Who makes the Pens one? I want a red wings!

I ordered mine from a seller on Ebay. I just searched on there and I couldn't find the exact seller, but I got two garters for about $12.

My garter is going to be Elvis-themed (Vegas wedding and FI is *huge* Elvis fan) from the Etsy seller specialdaygarters. She's actually doing a custom one for me since the one I loved sold out of her shop some time ago. It is going to have a lil guitar charm and everything! I'm thinking about doing a Florida State Seminoles garter, but haven't seen any that I liked. I think it would surprise him, and he'd love to hang it from his mirror in his car afterwards...Show me your garter!
