I don't have pics of my girls back yet, but they wore the jcrew silk chiffon in graphite and its a lovely color. Very flattering, not too dark, and not too light. They all loved it!
great! i'd love to see photos when you have them :-) what style did your girls wear? i'm going to let them choose between juliet, sohpia, and the twist-tank dress. my colors are light grey, plum, and coral. what colors did you use with your graphite dresses?
Mine aren't from Jcrew, but they're a graphitey color: Platinum. From Priscilla of Boston Vineyard collection.

Right now I'm thinking the girls will carry dark pink/light pink flowers tied with a navy blue ribbon. Our invitations will probably be those colors too and most of the flowers will be in the pink family. I have yet to pick invitations/paper and meet with the florist though, so that could all change! But anything goes with graphite/platinum, we have it made.
I told my girls to choose whichever dress in the silk chiffon they liked best. So, I'll have two wearing the Juliet dress (one in graphite and my MOH in deep rose), two wearing the Sophia dress, and one in the twist-tank dress.
Just a word of caution if you have any bustier girls - the sophia dress looks fairly modest but didn't offer much coverage. The strappless (Juliet) was universally flattering. And the twist-tank, while lovely, worked best on my super tall BM with a teeny little waist (though she's a size 8 her figure worked best with this dress). All in all I'm really glad they all chose different styles, I love a mismatched look!
My MOH is in deep rose which is perfect as my colors are grey and deep pink (fuschia). I'm having them carry deep pink flowers and they're wearing fuschia shoes (except my MOH who is wearing silver shoes).
I'm also going with the J.Crew graphite dresses in mixed styles. My question is: What jewelry are you picking for your bridesmaids? I was thinking about chunky necklaces on some, earrings on others. Something that is bold enough to see as they walk down the aisle.

I don't wear much jewelry, and i'm giving them other things for their bridesmaids gifts, so I didn't choose what they're wearing. I pretty much just asked them not to layer necklaces, and not to wear earrings that looked like mine (dangly pear-shaped fake diamond ones). One of my maids works at Tiffany's so she'll probably do something fairly bold, but the rest of them are leaning towards simple pearls/chokers.
My bridesmaids are going to wear any style of the silk chiffon dresses in graphite. They're going to wear fuschia shoes - any style, material, etc. as long as they're fuschia.
As for jewelry, I am going to let them wear whatever they want. I would love for them to wear something fun, but their different tastes in jewelry are so different that I'd prefer to let them wear something they like and are comfortable with.
LadyGoodman - if you've found cute fuschia shoes I'd love to see them! I've found some gorgeous Stuart Weitzman's and other pricey ones, but finding something in the $60-$100 range has been hard!

I have been stalking zappos.com and shopstyle for cute fuschia shoes! I am letting my girls wear any fuschia shoes they want and am not being picky about material or shade of color, etc. But, here are some great dressy ones that could work for you. Starting with my favorite:

By the way ladies, even if your Jcrew store doesn't sell the bridesmaid dresses in the store, you can still try them on there.
I called my store and asked to speak to their personal shopper, once she got on the line, I told her what styles I would like for my girls to try on and the date. She placed the order through Jcrew and will have them in the store in my requested sizes and colors on the day I asked to come in.
If my girls like the dresses and want to buy them then and there, they can, if they don't want to, they don't have to. It makes it very convenient for any girls who aren't exactly sure what dress they want.
Plus, if you order through the store, no shipping!
My question is, with the graphite dresses, what color are you all having the groom/groomsmen wear? I am leaning towards the jcrew graphite in silk chiffon for the ladies, but I am not sure if we would go with a dark gray or black for the guys.
I like the dark gray for the guys, but is that too much gray?

My guys are wearing black, but I think grey would look great with this dress.
My girls are wearing graphite J. Crew dresses (no pics yet)...2 of them are wearing the twist tank and 3 the Juliet. They are so cute on all of them! The girls all have plans to wear them again and ordering from J. Crew was so easy...sign up for their emails for discounts and free shipping! None of my girls paid more than $140 for their dress and no one had to pay for shipping. Our colors are gray and yellow and the guys are wearing dark gray suits, white shirts and we are still searching for gray and yellow ties.
I'm in a wedding in June 2011, we are wanting J.Crew Juliet dress in graphite - does anyone of the bridesmaids want to sell theirs?? there are 3 of us, sz 10 -8-4 I think but not sure so if you have one let me know what sz!!
