For those of you using Lapis (from David’s Bridal), what kind of decor did you use? I’m finding it hard to match. The dresses are a jersey material, not satin, so it doesn’t have that sheen. what did you use as complimentary colors? I’d love to see pics!

Lapis is our main color and we are doing peacock feathers as well. Our color scheme is lapis/royal blue/teal/turquoise and pops of lime green. I gave up on trying to match all of the decor perfectly to lapis and have gone with dark purple.
However, weddingilnensdirect.com – their eggplant crushed taffeta is almost an EXACT match to Lapis – you can’t get much closer without using an actual dress.

I’m doing a rustic themed wedding (lots of brown/wood/ivory) with lapis and burnt orange accents.

We had an art deco wedding. Lapis, Ivory, and Gold. I however, excepted the fact that different purple shades would be needed in order to not drive myself crazy about perfect matching purples. We started the reception with purple uplighting. Here’s some pics. The girls first and then decor.
We did a candy buffet. I actually bought lapis colored ribbon from DB for this.
Our wedding was around christmas so it aloud for us to use some of those decorations in the lounge spaces and at the bars
Our sweetheart table was all types of different shaded flowers.
We also had beaded napkin rings made to set on top of our gold chargers

I don’t have any of my DIY decor projects to show yet. We are using lapis, pool, and silver together. For decor my tablecloths will be pool while the centerpieces will involve purple flowers to pull in the lapis coloring. My favors are blue colored bird tea lights so I’m using purlple stamped favor tags on them. For church decor I’m making some wreaths and pomanders out of paper roses from recycled books. They will be hanging by pool and lapis colored tulle. The cake will incorporate both colors as well.
