14k white & yellow gold.

This is what I want to get my FI! I want one for myself too...lol. I think he's got more personality than a plain gold band can convey, and his family is Irish. It's a celtic dragon. 

He just bought it yesterday!  He had originally seen this style in tungston at a trendy engagment ring store in Seattle after we got engaged...and almost bought it and It was kinda pricey... but decided he would do some looking around to make sure it's what he wants. After many many months he realized he didn't like anything else as much, but when we went to a few other stores to price compare, some stores said they stopped selling tungston all together because they had so many customers bringing them back shattered! So we did our research on tungston and asked several jewlers and they all had seen them shatter and crack. So we vetoed tungston because his hands do take a beating at work.Then one fine day we found the exact style on shaneco.com website but in cobalt for I think 300.00 or so...but while we were looking around at the mall the other day, we wandered into fred meyer jewlers and they had the same ring, in cobalt and they were having a big sale, so he got it for 199.00. We didn't even have a budget on his ring..my set all together is over 5k...so I wasn't about to tell him what to get...this is what he wants and he loves it so i'm happy. he is a warehouse worker and needed something that will last forever.

@Glambridexoxo: I want to add to my post that if ur fiance' doesn't have lots of demands on his hands at work, doesn't play alot of sports, etc..then tungsten is a perfectly good choice..but again, it has it's cons. It cannot be sized, ever. If ur husband gets bitten by a snake an they have to remove it, yes, it can be easily shattered for removal...but that just goes to show that a sharp jolt to this metal will cause it to shatter. We know someone who's shattered when he caught a football...other's who's shattered when they accidently dropped it on tile. Stores will tell you they will replace it for a fee if it breaks, but I dont think of my fiance's ring as 'replaceable'.  Cobalt and titanium can both withstand adjustments in size using heat..and can both be cut off in event of an emergency, but cobalt will take much longer to cut through. Cobalt is also might lighter and brighter than tungsten...and looks more like platinum in my opinion. I woulda prefered platinum, but my fiance' isn't into spending alot on himself.
