amberback:  yeah we were able to order a custom size and width. this guy is in pennsilvania. he responded very promptly, send me pics of things he had that werent on the shop’s site. Secondstreetringcraft is the shop name. really cool stuff. and its only $225. figure if anything happens, or he gets tired of the unique design, he can just order another in the future lol

amberback:  I need to go home! I read your title and saw “show me your man’s wood…” and I was like wait whaaaaaat?! lol and then I read the rest and immediately decided I’m done with this day. My mind is just not right lol.

I also wanted to add that I love this style of ring! Cool choice.

amberback:  that white one is pretty legit! my FI wont be wearing his to work either. but shoot, if thats what he likes, and its only $50, i say go for it. Like i said, he can always get another one if he doesnt like it. Not really sure whats causing the price to be so different. we are firm believers of you get what you pay for, so hopefully itll be fairly durable and last a while.

amberback:  lol ya I read it like show me one or the other lol as in either show me your man’s wood or show me his wood inlay ring. I got it after I pulled my mind from the gutter.

amberback:  I don’t want to discourage you at all, just a tip to choose a strong yet expandable metal to accompany if you choose wood inlay with metal (as opposed to all wood). Wood expands and contracts with heat and cool (like most metals) but also with water, and my DH’s friend had a wood inlay and his wood cracked and fell out because he always left it on to shower and wash his hands, etc…. Just something to keep in mind when picking out the ring. As DH considered one also, but because of what happened to his friend and the fact he always leaves his ring on, he went with all white tungsten.

I don’t have a pic of his exact ring yet, but his wedding band is like this one but with a jade (green) stripe stripe inlay (same etsy seller): https://www.etsy.com/listing/196233691/bent-wood-ring-sapele-with-azurite-inlay?ref=sr_gallery_25&ga_search_query=mens+wedding+band&ga_ship_to=US&ga_ref=auto1&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_view_type=gallery

It’s really cool. He wasn’t super excited about wearing a ring but he really likes this one. 🙂
