JustMe12182:  5’8″ 135lbs, 36-25-36. It’s a mermaid dress, blush colored. And apparently I’m am unable to upload a photo on the Bee right now… I will try again later (& not from my phone).

OP, do you have a picture of yourself in the dress? I think we’re always our own worst critics! I’m sure you look absolutely beautiful.

you should not have a problem with the fit unles you can’t afford alterations with the hip dip. if its there its too tight. FYI if you are getting a dress from a shop or designer.. start soon, chinese new year is coming and you will lose a month lead time.

crisaquarius24:  What do you mean Chinese new year is coming? Curious since I am debating on starting to shop for my dress. was thinking it may be too soon since our wedding isn’t until Oct. 2015.

JustMe12182:  yay congrats! The dress shopping experience is fun. I ordered online but my sister had a blast.

My measurements are 32-24-35. In these photos the dress has not been altered yet so the top is too large as she made it to 36.

jrae05:  Sadly, most (nearly all) dresses in the 1000-5K range are made in china, they shut down in february I believe but for the whole month! So you lose a month. I’d say it wouldn’t hurt to start looking now, but you do have time, unless you have found anything that is in the 2012 collections, then theres a risk of discontinuation of non selling dresses. Id say best time is about 7-8 month mark. But for me and other brides it seems like a huge hurdle is lifted when you find your dress. Then you can hone in on looking for the rest of the party and your BM colors!

It also depends on specific you are too. The more requirements the more time it will take to look for!

Happy hunting!

missjz:  nice luck with an online dress. if you had a good exp I would definately let people know because online shipping is very scary in regards to wedding dresses!

This dress looks familar, but is it a different color or is it ivory. ? Without seeing up close it looks like it fits pretty well in the torso and hips. I like the softness of the ruffles.

Great job!

crisaquarius24:  Thanks. I have posted a review. I was very happy with my experience and shared it in a post. The dress itself is a Vera Wang Gemma replica. I’ve had it made custom in a grey fabric.
