1.) Size of your center stone in mm (if you don’t know it, then the carat size is fine)

I belive it’s 6 or 6.5mm. .75ct.

2.) Size of your finger

4 1/2

3.) Does your ring shine a funny color? Blue? Green? Yellow? Rainbow?

Sometimes, yup. And it still looks gorgeous while doing it. It’s pretty white most of the time, though. In good sunlight, it sparkles like crazy.

4.) Is yours enhanced?

Nope.

5.) What type of metal is your ring and/or what would you recommend and why?

White gold, because I don’t like yellow gold.

Here’s a picture I took the day after he proposed:

1.) Size of your center stone in mm (if you don’t know it, then the carat size is fine)

6.5mm

2.) Size of your finger

7

3.) Does your ring shine a funny color? Blue? Green? Yellow? Rainbow?

I wouldn’t say it shines a funny color. It took a while to get used to it, but, as some people say, moissanite “absorbs” color. Rather than absorb it, I would say it reflects it like a mirror. When I hover my pink finger nail over the top of my stone, the stone gets a pink tint. You’ll see the colors around you reflected in the color of your stone. Most of the time, it reflects the lights in the ceiling so it’s usually white with a lot of rainbow sparkles.

4.) Is yours enhanced?

Yes. I have an amora enhanced moissanite from betterthandiamond.com

5.) What type of metal is your ring and/or what would you recommend and why?

I chose 14k white gold for no particular reason. I just like the way it looks. =P

1.) Size of your center stone in mm (if you don’t know it, then the carat size is fine)

1.5ct round brilliant (7.5mm)

2.) Size of your finger

5

3.) Does your ring shine a funny color? Blue? Green? Yellow? Rainbow?

It doesn’t necessarily “shine” a funny color, but it definitely picks up colors around it. when i look at it in the setting sun, it definitely looks yellow. when i look at it outside on a bright, sunny day it is blindingly white. at work under white lights, it is a steely white color. it took me a while to adjust to it, but now I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS ASPECT OF IT.  i have a CZ stand in ring i wore last week on vacation, and i couldn’t wait to get back to my moissy because i miss seeing its beautiful rainbow colors.

4.) Is yours enhanced?

Yes! and i’m glad i got it since i am color enhanced. Under a carat probably doesn’t need the enhancement tho.

5.) What type of metal is your ring and/or what would you recommend and why?

I got 14k white gold even though i was a little worried about nickel allergies. i went with it because i love the brightness of white gold compared to the look of palladium or platinum.  palladium looks great, too though. i’m happy with the white gold so far though!

here’s a pic i’ve posted a few times in other threads. not the best, but you get the idea:

1.) Size of your center stone in mm (if you don’t know it, then the carat size is fine)

6.5 mm or 1 carat

2.) Size of your finger

Around 7 to 7.75 — really varies with temperature

3.) Does your ring shine a funny color? Blue? Green? Yellow? Rainbow?

It has crazy fire (that rainbow sparkle effect), but no color inherent to its body

4.) Is yours enhanced?

No, and it’s much whiter and brilliant than any of the pictures I’ve ever managed to take

5.) What type of metal is your ring and/or what would you recommend and why?

18kt white gold, but if I had to do it over again I’d probably choose platinum for the e-ring since that’s the metal our bands are in

I also have a ton of other moissanite items including my latest obsession: the rose cut moissanite! I will never go for a diamond ever again.

1. 1ct

2. The ring is a size 8 but it couls stand to be smaller.

3. All of the above, it looks kind of steely blue in bright sunlight, pastel yellow in the shade, light aqua green when it’s overcast, and raindow in low Starbucks sort of lighting.

4. My stone is unenhanced, I didn’t care if it showed color.

5. 14k white gold, I actually wanted the ring in white gold with a rose gold head but at the time it was only available with the matching band and I didn’t like the band so I went the all-over white gold.

1.) Size of your center stone in mm (if you don’t know it, then the carat size is fine)

6mm cushion (1.1 carat)

2.) Size of your finger

5.75

3.) Does your ring shine a funny color? Blue? Green? Yellow? Rainbow?

Crazy fire in the sun and I love it!

4.) Is yours enhanced?

Yes, and I’m glad I got it enhanced. From the top an unenhanced center stone looked very white but my ring shows a lot of the stone from the side view and the Amora enhacement is nicer looking from the side.

5.) What type of metal is your ring and/or what would you recommend and why?

Palladium. I don’t want to have to redip white gold

@novacaineandlaughter:  Is this the Bella from Moissanite & Co? I have been drooling over this ring for a year!  If you don’t mind my asking, how high does it sit off your finger? And also is the basket underneath the point of the ring open? ie. for easy cleaning of the stone.

My ring is a little different because even though it’s an engagement ring it’s a half eternity band.

1) no centre stone, I have 7 stones 3.5mm each.

2) finger size 5.5

3) the colour is very white, I’ve never had it show any colour other than a rainbow of fire under lights or in sunshine!

4) no, because stones this small face up very white and don’t need enhancement.  When (not if) I buy another moissanite I would get enhanced for the centre stone.

5) White gold. No particular reason other than I like the colour of white gold.  I may consider palladium in the future.
