I wish I looked as good as the model in it, but here it is.

Love this idea 🙂 I still consider my dress very wedding-y… just also non-traditional. It’s a Vera Wang evening gown in nude that also comes in white for weddings. White was definitely not for me!

I thought about it… as an Encore this was certainly what I thought I would do originally

(That was until I joined WBee and discovered more and more Encores now wear Wedding Dresses… and the stigma has pretty much gone for Encore Brides… lol, altho not so much for those who marry the 3rd, 4th, etc times)

So in the end I did a Destination Wedding Dress (ivory)

But I share with you a picture of the Dress I was going to buy originally for a quiet 2 person Elopement in the Hotel Lobby (overlooking the Ocean)… or a nearby Chapel.

PHOTO – J Kara Champagne Dress with Embroidered Top and Jacket (Nordstroms)

GORGEOUS Dress for an Older woman, but I am soooo happy I changed my mind and went Bridal instead.  (Even tho I do have a tinge of Dress Regret… I should have gone even more Bride like)

Hope this helps,

This isn’t my dress, as I just came across it while searching for bridesmaid inspiration. However, had I found it, I probably would’ve considered it. I LOVE it for some reason. Sue Wong also has some AMAZINGGGG evening gowns that translate well for non-traditional wedding dresses.

@smv22114:  I also am obsessed with this dress. In fact, I envisioned it as a bridesmaids dress before I bought my actual dress (which would totally clash). Adrianna Papell does some amazing stuff with beading and metallics!

I wanted to wear a prom dress. But in the end I felt it was just too blue. If it didnt have all the glitter, or maybe was a lighter shade of blue, I probably would have got it.

@galaxygray12:  Ohhhh!!! My gown is light gold and ivory… My BMs will be in the same sort of dresses as that photo, but my MOH wants to wear a long dress (which I told her she could to stand out as MOH, she’s my sister and I want her to be happy/comfortable)… I think this one would compliment well and def be a great contender! Thanks : )
