I was a guest at a not too formal wedding one January. I bought the dress from H&M. They have pockets!

Quite frankly as a guest, I will not even think about what I am wearing until the day of the wedding.

The first one I wore to a spring wedding.  The second one was in July. Wish I tucked in my armpit fat before that photo…lol.

I usually end up wearing a jewel-toned cocktail dress made out of chiffon or something silky– not cotton, and a fun hair accessory like a ruffled headband or feather comb. In the winter I’ll throw on a blazer or structured cardigan, tights, and heels (all black) with it.

p.s. What you have planned to wear is definitely formal enough, but with a blazer it sounds quite hot.  Just make sure you’re in air conditioning 🙂  Otherwise I think you could wear that dress without the blazer.

I usually wear a nice top and black pants, or khakis, as I’m not a dress or skirt type of girl.

^ this was for an outdoor Sept or Oct Wedding on Lake Seneca in New York

^ This too, was an October wedding. ( I was a tad overdressed for it too…)

^ This was just this September. The color of the dress is a Wine/purpleish color

Beautiful ladies, you look beautiful!

Hey whaddya know, I’ll be headed to a wedding in San Fran this upcoming Monday.

My mom’s 4th marriage.. (i know). Dinner cruise through the SF bay, it’s going to be a blast.

I’m suppose to be walking her down the aisle (both my grandparents passed last year) and be the only bridesmaid. She wanted light blue, but asked me to pick out the dress since I live out of state.

What do you ladies think? My mom adores it, I do too. I wanted to keep it very simple, as not to detract from my mom AT ALL.

@mrscash:  Yes! My FI lives in SF (and I live in Arizona) and we got engaged there last August. When we were going to dinner that night there were people wearing scarves and hats! Craziness! That is not summer weather!

@littlemisst08:  Those are ridiculously cute. I really love the red one.

I almost went with a sleeveless style, but I’m too insecure about my arms. I’m silly as heck.

Thank you! @skychick
