That's right, I said it! PLAIN! zomgs.
No beads, no pearls, no feathers or rosettes or crystals or embroidery, nada. Just straight up fabric in a pretty shape. I feel like waaaaaaaaaaaay too many dresses lately are just absolutely covered in adornments. This is totally cool for a ton of people, but it's just not my style. I know there has to be others out there like me. SHOW!
Mine was pretty plain :) (And here is an example of why you should make sure to get a pretty hanger!)

Jeez that dress is gorgeous. I love the draping, it's really stunning... I bet you looked beautiful on your day!
Here's my "plain Jane" dress. Still working on details/accessories, but I love this dress so hard. I think I'm going to get the neckline modified to a sweetheart with a twist.

oops need to rewrite it.
OK Mine doesnt have anything that you stated, but it does have ruffles. Although I dont think its plain. I did have a requirement that it "cant be shiney"

One of my two top contenders has absolutely no embellishment whatsoever and I LOVE that about it!

The other top contender just has a tiny (about the size of the palm of my hand) beaded applique on the hip, but you can't really see it in many photos, unless you're standing to my left side.

Hooray for "plain" dresses!
so far, the only detailing in my favorite gowns has been ruching/draping. a couple have had tiny bits of beading...a cluster at the apex of some draping, or a thin line along the neckline...but that's it. i love for the "details" to be subtle like that, in the texture or overall feel of the dress, instead of coming right up and smacking you like i feel like a lot of the lacey/heavily beaded/sparkly ones do.
Here's the dress I wore, no bling at all and I loved it. Still do.

Here is my dress, way different then what I thought I wanted but as soon as it was on, I fell in love! The flower is the only embleshiment, there are tiny beads in the center of it but they are not shiney and barely noticable....

and it has pockets!!
@MissDareDevil: Your dress is bonkers. I love everything about it, especially the pockets ;)

This is the dress I just ordered! Just a little embellishment on the side. I am obsessed with plain wedding dresses! I absolutely HATE tons of beading and lace. Its just not me. However I think tall skinny girls can pull off the lace thing really well.
I'm wearing a base dress! I agree with the embellishments... I kept on asking why that bead was there, and what was that thingy. So they finally came out with a base dress :) I did however, add a sash for the right touch. Can't show it now, not until after I get married! :)
This is the original dress I bought when I thought I wanted a plain dress. LOVED LOVE it, until I saw & tried on the Alfred Angelo Disney Princess Collection, "Belle's Dress". It has tons of embellishments and is complete opposite of this dress, but wearing it felt so right & I just had to get it! This dress is still beautiful though, and is actually for sale if anyone is interested! It's by Jason Alexander.

Here's my "plain" dress. I loved it because it's so simple and classic!

This is just a picture from when I bought it and it was too short, but I love it! I thought I would like something fancier but it is just perfect. I'm wearing pearls(my great great grandmas) with it, just simple.

Me! I love the understated look of unembellished dresses. Mine is Alice by Pronovias.

I just bought mine on Tuesday and am falling more in love with it every time I look at the pictures.
@MissDareDevil: so pretty! my friend just wore that exact same dress last month.
I love all of these simple dresses girls! So classy and elegant! My dress does have embellishment on the top, but the skirt is completely plain white!
@maureen9004: That is stunning! May I ask the designer/model? I have never seen anything quite like it! Thanks for sharing!
here was mine... there was a small applique on my boob (lol) but pretty plain. i loved it :)
@jenniferstuart: ahhh really? i haven't seen anyone with that dress yet!
I wore a really big skirt underneath it to make it more like a ball gown than A-line. I lOVEEDDD it!
I love all of these dresses!
@helenberrycrunch: Your dress is gorgeous! Is it Dessy Style 1006?
Here's mine:

The only embellishment on mine is the flower strap. You can't tell from the photo, but it has small sequins about every 2 inches down the strap, which are being removed
