OhH I love this post! I haven't gotten mine yet, I can't wait to see the ladies choices!
I actually wore black...it was tank dress with built in crinoline, about knee length and I wore a string of long faux-pearls with grey tights and black mary janes =)

I LOVE MY REHEARSAL DRESS! iT WAS THE FIRST DRESS I BOUGHT. I'M KINDA COUNTRY BUT STUCK IN THE 50'S ROCK WORLD... I AM WEARING A VERY SEXY TRUMPET DRESS FOR THE CEREMONY, SO THIS IS PERFECT!

@ashimmin2 i know a girl who had a really simmilar dress for the bm, and they all looked great! Get it!
Haven't decided yet but I really would like the one lees4308 wore in her engagement shoot (with her cute self) but in black. I am in love with that dress!!

These are all soooo cute! We're having a rehearsal softball game (sox vs. yankees themed) so I will not get to wear a dress but maybe I can come with a really cute yankees baseball bridal outfit! :)

I'll be wearing a white chipao with baby blue embroidery, as a nod to my adopted culture :)
@waitingbee - that's really pretty, where are you getting it from/who's the designer?
@ashimmin2: I absolutely LOVE that dress! It was a frontrunner for bridesmaids dresses, but we thought it would be too hard to shorten for my petite bride. It's so beautiful!
@ mizrunzou I am wearing that dress with black tights to my shower. It is really short but I think black opaque tights make it more "appropriate" ;)

Umm...just a quick question - Is it common to wear a white dress for the rehearsal? I mean I know everything is a personal preference but I was just curious if its a pretty common thing to do.

@LittleSpitFire it is a Bavids Bridal, I have been engaged for almost a year now, So i have had it a while, But you may be able to find it still in stores. H8665 If it helps.
I wore a blush colored tank top and brown linen shorts... No fun dress for me! But I think my friends would have laughed at me if I dressed up!
@daydream: I love your idea about wearing the chipao for the rehearsal, I might just have to 'borrow' it! My mom wants me to change into one for the reception, but after all I paid for my gown I can't imagine wearing for even less than 12 hours now. I think your idea is a great compromise!
THis is a great thread. While I have no clue what dress I'm going to wear, I think I definitely want to go 40's or 50's retro dress. Some of the vintage sites the bees have posted here had me drooling at the dresses. And while expensive, I think it's worth it...not to mention I think I found the rehearsal shoes before the dress. Here they are...I'm in love! (The blue and black shoe) I've already tried them on and wow, they're awesome.
Habibah 14: What a awesome idea! Although nothing Yankess looks good....I kid :-) I haven't started looking for my dress yet. We wanted to finalize our dinner location first. More inspiration pictures please!!!

@Krissycake, Love the blog post... I too love Ross stores. and sence we are paying for everything, Yes everything, I bought my MOB and MOG dresses there... They have some Real Cute party dresses, and if you never wear it again..... who cares! It was less than 50 bucks throw it in your closet or loan it to a freind! ;)
@mizrunzou: Have you tried on the dress? I own the same dress and plan on wearing it for my engagement session + rehearsal dinner. I don't think it's too short, just try it on. I think it looks shorter on the model. I'm shorter than a model, so it looks just fine. (sorry about the Italics, I can't get rid of it!)
