Yesterday I went in to see a local jeweler that came recommended to me about customizing a white gold celtic ring I have. I wanted to change the head to a halo setting with a small blue diamond as the center stone (white diamonds for the halo). She found me two options. One has a .10 stone and one has a .15 stone. There’s about a hundred dollar difference between them, which I’m not sure is worth it.
This is my first diamond-buying experience. If any of you have some small sparklers, I’d love to see them!

LadyCapricorn: That sounds pretty! Coloured diamonds are awesome 🙂
The diamond in this ring is about 0.10 carats

Beautiful ring! I love how the diamond is showcased. I’m leaning towards the .10 because it would be more financially responsible and I still need something left to plan the proposal! (I’m still having trouble on that front too, although I at least think I know where to go for dinner now, and it’s a little beyond our usual “fancy” dinners – i.e. Olive Garden!)
Blue diamonds have such a lovely color to them, and I suppose I’m just worried that she won’t get that depth of blue-green if the stone is too small.

my centre stone is between 0.10 and 0.12cts. it was FI’s grandmother’s (: we had it removed from the original setting, and placed in this one.
