So I’m kind of struggling since Ive always envisioned walking into our reception and just seeing gorgeous flowers. I bought these big 8″ x 8″ cylinder vases thinking they were the perfect size, but our florist said theyre actually on the larger size and hence would need much more flowers to fill…therefore high flower budget – gah! She suggested using three small vases (from dollar tree/dollarama) and that would cut the budget in half plus add some candles, etc. I’m open to the idea but I can’t seem to see how the room would look like with all small vases of flowers :-(. Our big vases would also block people view from each other…I can still use some of them and sell the rest so that’s not a worry! But for those of you that did small clusters of flower arrangements, did the flowers still give that “ta-da!” look to the venue? How did you set them up?
