I'm going to be looking at wedding bands with FI this week and wanted to see what some of you chose to go with your solitaire engagement rings! Please share a pic of your ering and wedding band! My engagement ring is a simple 6 prong round solitaire:

oooh....i like that!! definitely going to try one on that looks like that. your rings are beautiful! thanks for sharing :-)
Oh, I want to see them too! It's been so hard to make a decision!
My ring is similar to yours, so I don't know if I want just plain thin platinum band (it highlights the diamond best, but it looks too blah on it's on), a channel set eternity band with round diamonds (to match the ring), and I just saw a band with small diamonds on it (scattered in the band), that looked GREAT. It didn't take the "oomph" away from my engagement ring diamond, but it was nice enough to wear on its own.
It was 4mm though, so it was too thick. I want to see what everone else has too!
@CSSR-
Here's my 4mm scattered band and solitaire! The wedding ring has 8 diamonds and our 2 birthstones.

@Decemberbride: Beautiful! I tried on two bands and it was just too much for my hand--my finger is only size 3 1/4 so the rings looked like they were eating my finger! But it looks great on you!
@CCSR: yeah i've been debating on whether to get a plain white gold band...but then I was thinking about whether I'd like the way it looks when I wear it alone. I'm thinking maybe a thin band with small round channel set diamonds...but I want to see all the different options!
@JeniRae: I never even considered this option! It looks amazing! And I love that you included both of your birthstones :-)
@cbott: I love the color! And the rings go so well together--beautiful! Thanks for sharing :-)
Oh, my, that was huge! Sorry...
I like how my band looks alone which surprised me because I thought I wouldn't with the curve.
However, I decided to have them put together, so it doesn't matter now. I love my ring - designed by the greatest guy I know :-)
6 days to go!!
I have chosen NOT to see MY wedding band until the day of my wedding. My soon to be husband and I went together to pick out my bridal set. What can I say? I knew what I wanted! lol. We'd picked out my rings A LONG TIME AGO! Even before my dress!
My engagement ring is 4 prong 1/4 carat I believe! with channel set diamonds down either side. I LOVE IT!

I'll have to check this board when I get home! My work computer is blocking all the pictures... urgghhh...
Here's my solitare with my pave band (the Fi got very upset when he saw me put it on!)

I can't particpate...1 I dont have a solitair and 2 I just got engaged,
but I just had to say
@DecemberBride- For months now I've been LOVING your rings. I love how the diamonds are different on your bands then your solitaire, it pops so nicely. Makes me wanna do something creative with mine, but I think it'd be too busy since I have a halo setting. Anyways- GORGEOUS!
@Libra: Your rings are beautiful! I think I’m going to have to see a curved band on since I’m trying to figure out whether I would like a curved band alone. Great pic too!
@go4me: Love it! So wait, I’m confused…you have seen your band or is it a complete surprise? I can’t believe you got your ring before your dress…I’ve been slacking on this ring thing! Please come back and share a pic after your wedding…it’s so soon!!
@jgoulart: I love the look of pave bands! Haha thanks for putting it on for the pic even though your FI didn’t appreciate it :-)
@Helstrong: Congrats again! I saw your ring on another thread—beautiful!
@mystery: Awesome set! I think I’m leaning toward a similar band-thanks for sharing!
@amaroo: My band is probably going to be similar to yours and mystery’s—I’m excited to see how beautiful they look on you all!
@aloha: YAY! I’m hoping to get mine this week. I love how your rings look together!
@PDXBride: I saw my set when I picked it out but that was many moons ago and I don't have the greatest memeory...lol. I've forgotten what it looks like and now It'll be a surprise (again) on my wedding day! Yes! It is soooo soon! I'm excited and can't wait! I'll be sure to post another one!
@PDX: thank you! I love it..and i love how the prong setting looks! I had a channel set picked out first, but i am so happy i changed my mind ;)
Whoa sorry huge pic! I went with a 2mm bead set diamond band. I originally was set on a carved white gold band, but then I tried on this one and a channel set band. I loved them both, but this won out!
Also @JeniRae - I LOVE your wedding band! I've never seen one like that, and I like that you used birthstones for two of the stones!
@PDXBride I love your solitaire, what is its carat size? It looks gorgeous! I am sure any wedding band you find will be exquisite
@toady your ring set is very similar to mine, do the diamonds go all around your band or do they stop in the front. Good taste!
I love how everyones solitares are so similar yet so unique. They fit each bride to a tee. <3
Beautiful rings ladies!! Thanks so much for posting pics to share :-)
@madswan: I love your band! I was looking for something really thin as well and haven't come across anything yet.
@mystery: thanks! it's a 0.86ct but looks huge on my hand since my ring size is 3 1/4. i love it! FI did a ton of research before he bought it and learned everything he could about the 5C's haha :-)
@ pinksparkle: I LOVE prong set too!!! it just sets sooOOOoo nice with a solitaire!
@alohawedding -- I love the look of yours, but as I was researching that option, I heard that the diamond of the band hitting the pongs of the e-ring would ruin the ring over time (since diamond is harder than platinum/gold). I definitely don't want my wedding band to dent my engagement ring!
Have you had/heard of that issue? (I saw it on forums at pricescope.com -- they seem to know everything that's diamond related!)
Apparently soldiering both rings together solves that issue, but I know that I'd be wearing just the ring by itself at times, so don't want to do that either :(
@CCSR ...I know this was posted to @alohawedding, but since I also have a pronged wedding ring I thought I would share.
Our jeweler stated that YES, this is an issue, even for metal against metal rubbing together over years. He also said (like you suggested) that soldiering both rings together solves that issue.
@PinkSparkleGrl, Thanks! I'm a no for that then -- I know I can't always wear my engagement ring as FH will be starting a new job that will send us overseas quite a bit, so depending on the country, I can't really sport a big diamond around.
I love the look of it though, but I think I'm leaning towards the scattered diamond band... We'll see!
I never thought about the scratching of pronged wedding ring against engagement ring...might have to scratch that off the list. Thanks for the heads up!
