cindy25:  I almost bought your dress! My second runner up.

Here is me in a size 14 or 16, I think, all clipped in:

I had a minor freakout when it was actually my dress and then hemmed because it felt shorter waisted to me (a larger size meant it was longer throughout the bodice in the original photo), but by lowering the belt on my dress, It created the illusion of a longer waistline. Sorry they’re not very similar shots–I just realized I have very few where you can see the whole dress (flowers always covering the middle section, etc.). This is from our post-wedding shoot.

Oh, found one I forgot about! This is a better comparison, since the train is up and bustled here.

juski:  It might have just been an optical illusion or the fact that I had a different belt than the one I originally tried on, or the fact that all the photos I have of my real dress in the salon were unflattering angles (vs. a great angle in my first photo), but I was CONVINCED it was different. Lol. Moving the belt down an inch or so helped with my paranoia, looking in the mirror, and on the wedding day, I didn’t even notice where that belt was. Like I said, so many photos were taken with my flowers right smack dab in the middle of my waist, or facing my DH, the length of the bodice was not even noticeable. Don’t stress too much if you love your dress!

My sample was HUGE and I actually bought it (5 month engagement!). It took a lot of work to be sized down, but I was happy with the end result. I liked the back even more after it was properly sized 🙂
