This was a comemorative piece for the addition of nightmare before christmas to the haunted mansion ride at christmas in CA. We intend to put it on our cake 😀

Here are our caketoppers: based off Japanese cartoon characters Mameshibas. My husband made them out of Supersculpty, low-temperature polymer clay.

It’s not terribly outside the box but I had a really hard time finding something that was a figurine of a couple and wasn’t either too cutesy or literal.  I searched a few dozen (or more…) cheap wedding decor stores before I found this one.  I love it.  Moreso because it was $26 with shipping…

I love how everyone’s topper reflects their personalities. I made a shark and otter out of clay but since I couldn’t figure out the type of base I wanted, I ended up making a banner out of a wooden dowel and two wooden spools from my granny’s sewing stash I inherited. (The bride and groom came from this super cute cupcake set I received as a shower gift from our best lady’s mom.)

Ours were princess bride themed.

I had a friend sculpt them for us.

I don’t know if it’s very unique, but I love that we can put it on its music box base afterwards
