I did not even know this existed. This would be a last resort for me. It’ll be interesting to see pictures from real weddings.

I didn’t realize they made actual wedding cakes either. My friend had wal mart/sam’s club sheet cake in the back and a ‘fake’ cake for display with one tier to cut from. Is this what you are referring to?

I wouldn’t trust Walmart to make one of the most important features of my wedding day.

MRSamos2beee: I didn’t know Walmart did wedding cakes! It looks like a great lower cost cake option. How many people does it serve?

I am not personally getting a cake from Walmart however, I know of a couple who did…And although they saved quite a bit of money and the cake visually looked okay, it tasted just horrendous. Make sure you try it before you buy it! The bride was devastated!

If I were to personally get a cake from a grocery store I would opt for one from Publix or similar. They are just higher quality and not that much more expensive than Walmart.

I’m getting a cake from whole foods and saving lots of $$ – like DanceAwayDarling mentioned, any good-quality grocery store will be able to accommodate you. I think the Whole Foods ones started at $160 if they put the layers together for you.

I’m doing this one in the picture but with 2 tiers, and I’ll add a couple flowers to it as well. Super cheap! Plus, I love 99% of the baked goods whole foods makes, usually it’s great quality.
