That was the wedding cake & grooms cake, they were perfect for our 9 person wedding on the beach! Both made at publix :)
@atlshawt0515: I love Publix bakeries!! (I used to live in Florida). I totally want a Publix cake but my mom said no way- she lives out of state so she has no idea they're actually really decent, she thinks it's just another "meh" supermarket bakery. Maybe I'll show her your pictures :)

This was the inspiration for our cake but ours is going to be grey with a white ribbon and white flowers. My father is also making am 18 inch white square cake base.
BUT not these colours...More subdued :) Maybe white and ivory with my BMs dress colours...
This is my cake. Very simple. We had a winter themed wedding with lots of natural elements. Escort cards were on pine cones, center pieces had branches. Our cake was made by a friend who is a bar tender but went to school to be a pastery chef. We gave him ideas for inspiration and let him run with it. This is exactly what I would have wanted. So simple.

We are using eggplant,grey/blue,pink..I am wearing ivory and my man has a silver vest and tie...There is a lot of silver in the reception,glass and mirrors, with the above colours. Struggling with cake colours lol

Not my cake (yet) but i'm obsessed. I'm having a rustic themed wedding in a barn so i think it's perfect.

I love how our cake turned out. It took me forever to decide on a design.
@Treejewel19: omg i love your cake, if i had the final say ours would have resembled yours, unfortunately DH decided the cake design would be the one thing he wanted to actually have a say in lol. will post a pic of mine when i get home.
@CircleFace: Thanks so much! It took me forever to choose but I decided I wanted something simple, classic and romantic. My florist chose the flowers and I was thrilled with how it turned out. The fondant is dusted with a "sparkle" that really shimmered at the reception.
Definitely share pictures when you have them!
@HeatherAlexis: omg that is amazing!! We're having a similar themes wedding and I love the ruffle look but the cake lady said it costs heaps :(
