I skipped this. I ended up with a gift bag (it was just the right size) that I stashed a few things in from the getting ready time, and anything that would've gone in a clutch went in there instead, and my MOH stashed it in our getaway car between the ceremony and the reception.
We checked into the honeymoon suite the morning of the wedding and dropped off all our luggage before the wedding, so all that was left was what we wore to get ready + small stuff like toothbrush, etc. that we wanted right before the pictures/ceremony.
I think I'm going to have my bridesmaids carry clutches instead of a bouquet. I will probably have something to put my stuff in needed for the day.
I don't know how 'wedding' this is, but I just bought it at Nine West and plan to use it. Matches the shoes I want to wear!

Mine is the blue one, and the flowers are pins so they can come if we want to. I ordered the brown ones for my BMs. I had their names sewn in too. I got them on Etsy. I love them! I always thought I'd have a white clutch, but I love the blue instead!
I agree they aren't necessary, but super cute! That's why I think these are great, they were only like $24! That's pretty cheap,so I thought it was something I could "splurge" on to have at my wedding!
@catlin63: that's cute! and matching the shoes is totally my thing too! =D
@Samantha7: those are really cute and at an amazing price! i love the personalization too!
I carried my lipgloss, a hankie, blotting cloths, mints, and our hotel key in a clutch. I bought it and re-sold it on Craigslist for cheap too!
@melisslp: beautiful! your shoes are amazing too!! and good idea about reselling as well, maybe it'll make me feel better about "splurging" on it :)
I wasn't super fussed about having a clutch, but I figured if I saw one I liked, it would be nice to have. Then I found this one on sale and snapped it up. Don't know how much I'll actually use it on the day, but it's definitely simple enough for me to use again.

@baybejen - Thanks so much for the compliments! The shoes were bought at DSW last year and were super comfy. I think the thick heel made things easier. Happy Planning!
I make clutches for all occasions, including weddings! They make great bridesmaid gifts, especially if they are simple enough to be used again. I have done these for multiple weddings and the bridesmaids always love them, since they are more likely to be usable at another occasion. It's hard to tell but this is a simple pleated clutch in black silk, and then blue interior to match the wedding colors. I also included each bridesmaids name on the inside. Check out my facebook page for more images! The sell for $30 - $45 each. I do custom orders so you can pick your colors and design. Thanks,

I'm not planning to use this on my wedding day ( I would so totally put it down and forget where I left it....one less thing to worry about). I'm definitely using it at the rehearsal dinner though. Just can't decide whetherr to get it in white or black

@mistyeyes: Love, Love, LOVE! Where did you find that?? (Did I mention I'm an accessories whore?)
I search forever to find a vintage clutch to carry. I finally found one from the 1940's on ebay, and even though my wedding is over, I still love this clutch.

FH's mom decided she wanted to buy me a wedding day handbag, so I got this: http://www.coach.com/online/handbags/SearchResultsView?storeId=10551&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&quickOrder=yes&searchKeyword=COLETTE%20CANVAS%20SIGNATURE%20stripe%20top%20handle%20pouch&cacheKeyword=CANVAS%20COLETTE%20SIGNATURE%20HANDLE%20POUCH%20STRIPE%20TOP
I don't expect to carry it around during my wedding, but during that weekend, it will be nice to have. I can put all the tips, etc, in it and it won't be too small. And since it is somewhat off white, it is kind of wedding-y. But I will also be able to use it on my honeymoon and after the wedding too, because it is not too wedding-y, so I'm excited. I love it.
I'm going to have my regular bag in my getting ready room and leave everything there. I can't imagine in the middle of the reception needing anything out of my bag, but if I did it would only be a minute away.
You could get one in order you need lip stick or mirror suring your wedding! It could be much more convenient and utilit, but you need to remember that you should pick the "dumpling" style so that can carry things, do not choose those rectangle ones, that kind of clutches are for bridesmaid gifts lol. I am pretty like this one:

I bought one, not sure if I will use it but I was thinking it would be good for my lipstick, tips, tiara to switch to after my veil, and my cell phone. We are going to be in a garden so I need my phone with me before the wedding in case anyone needs to find me and the changing rooms aren't anywhere close to where the ceremony is going to be. So here is the one I bought.

I don't plan to carry anything on the wedding day!
I'm lucky enough to have a great DOC and a personal attendant - they'll keep the oil-blotting sheets, lipstick....anything I think I'll need at hand throughout the day.
@weddinghoney: where did you find this?! I've been looking all over for a clutch this color for my BMs!
I just got my wedding day clutch! - it was on sale at katespade.com. It's adorable in person, though I'm wondering if I should have bought the yellow one (primary wedding color) instead of the 'fresh cream'. Oh well - I love it and it's one less thing to worry about

Sorry, there are no users yet.
So I'd been considering the idea of wedding clutches.. something cute to carry my lipgloss, mirror and whatever other things i might need that day.
I'm curious about other brides who carried one.. or even bridesmaids who carried them that day! Feel free to share and post many, many photos! woo!
Here's one from etsy that I love, but I keep waffling because i'm not sure if it's REALLY necessary or not. I also considered maybe I could use it after the wedding for nights out. Maybe the bee will enable me ;) I should just add a poll too!
