My daughter's original intent was to have a side bun aka lauren810c 's hairstyle (love it BTW!) But she has very long thick hair and it wouldn't hold...this was what she ended up with:

This isn't too different from how I'd do my hair for any formal event, but I just loved having someone else deal with my wonky hair!
@Lucy10 Here are a couple more photos..the one with the long straight hair was taken at the rehersal dinner -just to show you how much hair was pinned up(!) The one in the vineyard was taken later during the reception. Her hair started falling down and the bang part swept to the side kind of separated in some of the photos -it was a VERY windy day unfortunately!

all of your hair looks so nice!! I'm so jealous of you girls with super long hair! mine is like 3-4" past my shoulders so i'm having a hard time figuring out what to do!
@CorgiTales: KellyV was on Real Weddings on The blog so I'm sure you could find more pictures of her hair there!! But I have a few of hers that I saved because they were part of my inspriation pics!!
I wore a low side bun with a Ban.do headband. Here are some pictures of me - towards the end of the night and all the dancing, it definitely got a little messy. I didn't want rock hard hair, but oh well.

Heres my hair... It took me 2 trials to get it right (and a different stylist) but I finally got my vision. 
Ill be putting a small clip or something in the back, but I dont know what yet.

katieb - did your curls hold up well after your trial? I have long hair like yours and I'm worrying about my curls falling after a couple hours.
They did! At my first trial they fell out really quickly, but this time they stuck. I cant remember what she used, but it was awesome. I have naturally curly hair, so my hair had to be straightened and then curled....but it all worked out. :)
I figure come wedding day, just carry a can of aquanet!

I just had my stylist do very wide and loose curls and did not let him put in an ounce of hairspray! I was going for natural, young and timeless :)

Digging through past threads (and other google searches) yields ton of stars' inspiration pics... but we're not all going to have a hollywood stylist doing our hair, right? (and if you are don't tell me bc i hate you. just kidding. mostly).
I would love to see pictures of yours (or friends) hair that was done by your average hair salon stylist with all real hair (no extensions!). Right now I'm leaning towards a half up/half down curly style... but I'd also love to see pictures of updos! Bonus points if you have pictures of front and back.
